Default Want to know how they make 10,000 hp? crazy!

The LPH of the fuel pump and that video at the end is rather comical. The more I learn about these cars the more I'm baffled by them (and the driving them!)

This is the one that has always gotten me, though. This is one injector. ONE. THERE ARE 32 ON THE CAR!

Something went wrong. Please make sure you added the video correctly.

Yep. It is my understanding that with Nitromethane and power levels like that, it is kind of a delicate balance between combustion and hydrolock.

It's pretty damn insane for a reciprocating piston engine.

Great articles. I just finished part 1 and am about to start part 2.

Side note - the author is Pablo with the Supra at MKC. Very nice guy!

With NHRA around the corner coming to Topeka, I got excited and had to read up on these cars again. Anyone who has never gone must go see!
