![]() So some person tried to steal my crv and broke my ignition with a screwdriver.
Is there any way to start it besides the ignition? How difficult is it to replace the ignition and how much would it cost for me to do it myself vs hiring someone to replace? Any help/input is appreciated. |

![]() Yes, hondas are silly easy to bypass the ignition switch.
It all depends on what they broke. If it's just the cylinder it's easy to change. If it's more.. you might have to get the whole column piece. Without any pics and your lack of info. No one will be able to give you a good price estimate for a repair. |

![]() Pretty easy even if you have to replace the ignition lock and the collar that goes around the column. Collar is held on by 2 bolts that snap off when torque is reached. They can be removed pretty easily. After that, putting the new parts on is the downhill slide.
