A/C line splice for a 2009 Accord - KCSR

Anyone have an opinion/experience/tip for doing this? To replace the lower line costs over $1000, can this really be a cheap and permanent fix?

I work in the heavy diesel industry, some of the AC lines for the semis we get in are astronomically expensive. We have a local shop that can repair damaged lines or build new ones, usually at a substantially lower cost than the OEM replacement. I have never used one of those splices, but it would be worth checking in to if anyone in the KC area provides a similar service.

With expensive lines or custom lines, we go to Tompkins here in Olathe and have them repaired or made.

Usually ends up being less than $100.

Most of the cost is in the removal and installation. Are they able to repair lines without removing them from the car?

Ah.... it shouldnt cost 1k to replace an ac hose.

Its the high pressure ac line, and unfortunately you have to take apart the dashboard to get to where it attaches. That's where the cost come from. The line itself is about $150 from the dealer.
