2009 MazdaSpeed 3 VVT issue - KCSR

Morning All,

Short backstory, is I bought an 09 MS3 w/ 61K Miles on it on Super Bowl Sunday and all it needed was shocks and brakes (in no immediate need), Cool!

Well just recently about 1000 miles into owning the car, I'm starting to hear "ticking" noises in the motor.. I go an get my oil changed and nothing changed.. Long story short, I just found that these motors have a common VVT failure issue..

I was wondering if anyone here works for a Mazda Dealer in the area that could help me out with Warranty issues, or if not and worst case scenario... Has anyone here dealt with an MS3 VVT issue and is interested in checking out my car.
