Probably because in the face of overwhelming evidence, even if you don't want to agree with the 97% (source) of other climate scientists that say mankind is "extremely likely" contributing to it, you can't really refute it because the evidence doesn't support refuting it.

When it comes to science, proof is difficult to come by so you often end up acknowledging what is likely based on what the evidence shows. 95% probability (source)

Yup, no science at all behind meteorology. 90% likely rain in the forecast has no science at all behind it!

Probably political hacks.

Classic move on posting "true" science because you thought it supported your non-scientific biases until you realized it didn't!

cool, cool.

You should probably learn reading comprehension.

Quote:
During the early 1970s, our planet was in the midst of a colder and drier weather cycle that led to concerns of another "Little Ice Age." Inflationary recessions and oil shortages led to rationing and long gas lines at service stations worldwide. Since that time, global temperatures have steadily climbed to the levels they are today. But, there were several interruptions of this global warming cycle.
They are pointing out correlation. They haven't claimed causation, as you claim.

Does it get old, being wrong ALL the time?

But again, where's the REAL science for the last 100 years, if the rest of it is all fake? We're like 3 posts deep now on that question.

Nope, I am correct, the author is implying that the lesser use of oil and combustion engines caused the cooling off period.

The rest is fake due to it's lack of real scientific evidence that people are causing the global warming.

Were is the real science for global warming, it's not there.

Still waiting for you to tell me I am wrong.

This will help you understand the climate hoax.

Science just declared Pluto a planet again. See how science changes in just a short amount of time?

Man, the conservative mind is just incapable of understanding science.

Let's start with...Wrooooong.

NASA Administrator (Politician) said it's a planet. Zero science in that statement made by someone who's not a scientist.

The classification system remains unchanged, and the categorization of Pluto as a dwarf planet remains unchanged.

Stoooopid.

Weeeeellllll, I'm certainly going to be more inclined to trust the accuracy of the science presented by the scientists specializing in the field of science related to those results as opposed to a petrol chemist that was able to pull together a collaboration of such esteemed minds as columnists, bloggers, and breitbart editors.

mmmhmmmm, yup.

I would tell you that you might need to explain scientific hypotheses v theory v law - along with a small class on statistical probability - but I honestly don’t think you could dumb it down far enough...

On a very slightly related note - the oil/gas industry question was a good one seeing as how at other airports in the US they have been running electric equipment (depending on weather) and out here, until this year, Vegas has resisted putting in any kind of charging stations. I’m told this is due to airport/casino connections in the oil/gas industry. We have all kinds on interesting little things like that. No TV’s upstairs because they want people to gamble... stuff like that.

I find the fact that climate change is a partisan issue to be strange. What compels your lower/middle class conservative to take up denying climate change as one of their sticking points? Other than brainwashing into believing anything that might hurt big business is inherently evil and painting it with a lefty bleeding heart liberal brush, I cant really think of a reason to harp on and sound the climate change denial trumpet unless you have direct skin in the game.

Not at all. It's just another way for the government to expand and take away peoples liberties.

Climate change is no more relevant than the Ministry of Silly Walks.

So why not just dissolve the EPA entirely?

Trump is doing a good job of reducing regulations and the size of the EPA.

It's being used that way sure, but it wasnt created out of thin air for this specific purpose. Never let a good crisis go to waste. Imo, this is all apart of a much larger long game that I wont go into here.

Not even Obama believes in climate change since he just bought his 3rd $15M house and this one is located right on the beach.

That's seriously one of the dumbest fucking correlations I've seen you come up with. Does your idiocy know no bounds? Man made climate change isn't just this inevitable thing. Being that part of it is man made (it's in the fucking title), means it's something we can do something about our contributions.
