I did find it a bit over the top ugly; however, it caught me off guard. It was like 10k watch, 14k watch, 112k watch lol.

Haha, yeah. Rolex makes some expensive and ugly specialty watches. I posted a lot of photos from my Dubai trip on Facebook. Some of watches. I tried on a $429k UR Werk and saw a $750,000 Gruebel Forsey quadruple tourbillon. Unfuckingbelievable.

I can't even imagine dropping that kind of coin on a watch. Then again, I don't really wear watches other than at the gym, so I guess my opinion is really valid anyway.

There are a few I would consider purchasing from, but the only one I have actually bought from is Meierottos. A lot of high end dealers will also deal in used - you just have to ask and they will bring out anything you want. I tried to work out a deal at Tivol, but they only deal in used watches that they are AD's for, which means you would get hosed if you are selling/trading.

There are quite a few I would purchase from online before many local stores though.

What brand are you looking for? I'm sure there are a lot of gray market dealers out there that are reputable, depending on the watch you're looking for...

Check TRF aka therolexforum.com

Their FS section is sweet. You could get an older Submariner for $3k or an older Explorer for $2800 or maybe a bit less.

Check out watch recon, too. I wouldn't hesitate buying online, just do your research and buy the seller. If the seller has a lot of references and has sold many watches online, you're more than likely good to go.

What this guy said. I have seen a number of subs in the low to mid $3k range. It is easy to figure out who the reputable sellers are....a lot of guys will have 5-10 watches listed at a time. A few quick searches will show you that a lot of them have been doing it for awhile.

I was at the Wynn last week and they had a number of different watches with different colors of stones in the bezels. Not my taste, but whatever floats your boat. The wife tried on a $62,000 diamond studded YG Rolex that was gorgeous. She will be sticking with her two tone for awhile

Meirottos is definatly a good place as well. I also wouldn't hesitate to tell you go get in contact with Geoff from Provident Jewelry in Florida. He is a top notch dude.

Its no Panerai or anything but I was after a nice big face watch and have been doing some searching and decided I wanted a Diesel. So after quite a bit of searching I found a great deal on this black on black 52mm Franchise Chrono. I absolutely love it!

And I have never been a fan of fossil but I liked the look of this one and couldn't pass it up for the price!

If I can get the stainless band off(they said that you can't at the fossil store) I am going to put it on a wide brown cuff.

Dang, 52mm is huge. Not sure if I could pull something like that off. There have been some Sonbol's on Ebay going for $200-300 if anyone else likes big watches. Not bad for bigger automatic watch.
