The #Chiefs plan to pick up the contract option for RB Damien Williams, source said, keeping the player who rushed for 104 yards in the Super Bowl in the fold. Williams will make $2.3M in 2020.

No surprise, but Chiefs are placing franchise tag on DT Chris Jones today, per source.

The Chiefs will not tender WR Marcus Kemp, an ERFA, a source tells me. There's a scenario where he could still return but there is also interest from other teams.

The #Chiefs are not planning on tendering a qualifying offer to TE David Wells, an exclusive rights free agent, according to a source.

Wells suffered an injury during training camp last summer and spent the 2019 regular season on injured reserve.

The Chiefs have converted some of Frank Clark’s salary to a signing bonus, per a source. That, plus the release of Cam Erving, means they will be under the cap today.

Including the restructure of Frank Clark's contract and the contracts given to Deon Yelder, Andrew Wylie and Chad Henne, the #Chiefs now have approximately $3.9 million in cap space

Former Giants’ CB Antonio Hamilton is signing a one-year deal with the Chiefs, per @RosenhausSports, who added that Hamilton turned down more money from another team. Hamilton is first free agent the Chiefs have signed this off-season.

The Chiefs have agreed to terms on a 1 year deal with Mike Remmers, a source tells me.

Remmers over for Wisniewski. He’ll be a veteran OT/OG flex who has played lots of NFL snaps.

Veteran DT Mike Pennel is re-signing with the #Chiefs on a one-year deal, source said. Had other offers, but wanted to return to the team he helped win a Super Bowl last month with his INT-causing hit on Jimmy Garoppolo.
