Default Heartland Park Busy at all?

I see Heartland Park has a Test and Tune night tonight, was wondering how busy they get. Hate to drive an hour just to get 1-2 runs in.

Have many of you made the trek out there? Whats it like?

I think quite a few have gone and gotten a decent number of runs. Some say the prep sucks, but you should be ok with awd. Sometimes the heat brings out smaller crowds too.

i went with my buddy last month and he was hot lapping basically. i think he got in something like 10 passes in about 3 hours. the month before that i only got in 3 passes in the same amount of time, but iirc there was some type of special test an tune bs going on that night.

New question? Do I have to have a Roll Cage if I run below a 10.0 pass?

Technically you need it below 11.49

You can try the new rule that stock '08 and newer cars don't need them, but you'd have to have a nice tech guy

yes you will be able to make one pass. I'd take something showing when you bought the car and say I don't know what it will run, they mentioned something about high 11's but I just want to see it. Just in case they question it.

Once you run below a certain number, expect them to tell you "no more" but you will make one pass. It's their ass on the line if you run a 10.8 and then roll it and die on the next pass without the required safety stuff.

Hate to drive 3 hours round trip for 1 pass. I guess I will just get my cage installed then head out. Major PITA!

You could always let up at the 1/8 until you get your 60' down then run it out.

Just make 1/8th mile passes until your last one. Or further and stand on the brakes at the big end.

Getting a ton of 1/8th mile passes will give you a good idea for the capability and the last one will go all out.
