The whole deal just stinks like week old fish. I'm wishful that the people with decision making abilities can see that!

About the only way I will stick with this deal is if it works out that AT&T is not going to royally ass fuck all of T-mobiles current customers. We get a 25% discount on AT&T so that may be a bonus. I dunno, I am just dissapointed to see what would happen with T-mobiles customer service...

According to the industry surveys, it's already been going down hill.

Yeah, I keep seeing that...going through a huge merger myself, I know that there a lot of questions that everyone wants answers to immediately but the details don't come out for quite a while.

Lots of people were pissed when we rolled out the new RR program, but in the end its a benefit for a lot of people..

Who knows we shall see I guess

Thats almost as good as a person on mine saying "i honestly feel bad for Japan but maybe this will encourage the US to stop importing so damn much and promote the 'Made in America' tags...and it won't hurt to take this oppurtunity to increase US exports."

That was a direct quote.

Verizon Wireless CEO says no interest in Sprint deal
The chief executive of Verizon Wireless said he has no interest in buying Sprint Nextel Corp (S.N) even as the company stands to lose its top position in the U.S. wireless market because of a merger between AT&T Inc (T.N) and T-Mobile USA.

Verizon Wireless CEO Daniel Mead also said he would not oppose AT&T's plans to buy Deutsche Telekom's (DTEGn.DE) T-Mobile USA for $39 billion.

The CEO said the company did not want to be distracted from its goal of being the most profitable U.S. wireless operator. Verizon Wireless is a joint venture of Verizon Communications (VZ.N) and Vodafone Group (VOD.L).

"We're not interested in Sprint. We don't need them," said Mead, speaking to Reuters ahead of the CTIA Wireless Conference.

AT&T announced plans on Sunday to buy T-Mobile USA in a massive deal to create a new U.S. mobile market leader.

Mead said U.S. regulators would likely approve the AT&T/T-Mobile deal if the companies agreed to certain conditions. AT&T is expected to have to sell some assets in order to get regulators to approve the deal.

"Anything can go through if you make enough concessions," Mead said.

Yeah that idea got shot down

Senator asks DOJ and FCC to do their jobs, provide friction for AT&T / T-Mobile tie-up

There's always one. Back in the winter of 2009, Senator Kerry made public his request for Fox and Time Warner to keep the Bowl Games online, and one Chuck Schumer took to writing an open letter to Steve Jobs regarding the iPhone reception woes that eventually led to a dedicated press event (mostly) disputing the matter. Now, Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar is urging the FCC and DOJ to "take a close look at the proposed AT&T and T-Mobile merger," noting that the outcome would undoubtedly have a huge impact on consumer choice, price and service in the wireless industry.

Of course, it's not like these two wouldn't be doing just that in the coming months, but it's good to see a fire starting early in Congress to make sure due diligence is done. Having a carrier that provides service to 42 percent of all US wireless subscribers has the potential to seriously shift the economics of things, and potentially more interesting are the implications of a rejection. In fact, many are suggesting that AT&T will likely have to sell off major assets and promise expansion to rural / poor areas in order to gain approval, which ties in nicely to Verizon Wireless CEO Dan Mead's own comments regarding concessions. We're also hearing that regulators could take as long as 18 months to fully investigate, and you can bet we'll be following the play-by-play as it all unfolds.

I do plan on leaving T-Mobile if it goes through. Before I signed back up with T-Mobile I tried a galaxy s through ATT and had no service at my apartment. I had tons of dropped call and text message issues, the moment I would walk outside I'd get voicemails from calls I never got and a cluster of texts that never came through...no thanks

I'm not going to even get started on why it's impressive you'd get service with TMo but not ATT, however I will say I've been working with T-Mobile's Retentions department on my service issue, so far their solutions are to use Wifi calling or the TIKL app.

I was surprised T-Mobile worked better too, I also tried sprint and had similar issues but none with T-Mobile

So far T-Mo's support has dropped the ball on my problem consistently, and all retentions is willing to do is give me 100$ credits when I bitch. I haven't had issues with TMo support in like 5 years, but it is going down hill.

Hell I had to argue with some black bitch that was saying my city isn't in the zip code i said it was.

Ya I'll admitted to customer service has gone down hill, but it's still miles ahead of everyone else because they are the only company that doesn't contract it out to a 3rd party.

I am starting to think about jimping to VZW for 2 years and waiting to see how all the stuff flushes out with this merger. I don't know if its economocal though having to buy two new phones, and most likely we would go with the Iphone, at least I would. My wife might stay with a BB since she seems like them. I dunno, this really fucked up my plans for cell stuff. I was going to wait until this summer when we could get full upgrades with T-mobile and figure out what phones we wanted then..
