I'm doing a short turn around. Going down Friday morning and going to the game then flying back Saturday morning. Getting out of it for $223 total using points for one leg and buying as two one way tickets through SWA.

I enjoyed seeing it, would be really fun to go to for a bowl game/drink with a bunch of like fans.

Too much culture probably got to you.

I agree with Karen.

Been twice, not impressed at all. Highly overrated. Would've rather saved all the money instead of rebuilding after Katrina.

If you mean half ass french connection, sure. Otherwise it's just a liquor fueled tourist trap of a town that's built underwater. Filthy ass town. I spent 6 weeks in that town, I know what I'm talking about.

My time there will be really short. Will have a few hours in the French quarter before the game and a few hours after then I'm flying back.

Gonna eat some good ass Cajun though that's for damn sure.

So kind of like Las Vegas if you removed the strip and just had Fremont Street?

Hell even the Strip is a joke outside of all of the pretty lights, but maybe I'm jaded because I've been there a hundred times lol

Literally been in every single titty bar on Bourbon street. Guy I was with on that trip was going through a rough patch and drug me around a few nights.

Turns out strippers get mad if you sit at the table and don't pay them.

The ticket I saw for a non stop both ways was about $800 per ticket.

We didn't hit any of the strip clubs, just listened to their spiels about why we should go in. "This place is incredible, it sells itself," as the guy is begging/selling the place to us.

I just kept getting the cheap as fuck big beers from the sketchy alley drink stations and people watching.

Damn that's crazy.

I'm not doing non stop but that doesn't bother me really.

Just looked at non stop both ways and it'd be 729. My flights without using points is sitting at 445 round trip with one stop each way.

What are you doing for tickets to the game? The ones through OSU's site are in the 600 section for $150, or you can get in the 3-500 sections for $300-1500.

I bet you are a blast to hang out with

It is fun to have a place to let loose. It is like Vegas, a good long weekend trip.

Depends on what you do, where you go, etc. Just like anywhere. If you stay on Bourbon St, Canal St, etc. yeah, it is one big party. It smells and looks like it. There are plenty of nicer, high end parts as well.

Snyder is a little cheeky.

Quote:
REPORTER: Coach Snyder, the quarterback situation hasn't been easy this year. Do you think he'll be ready for the bowl game? Where do you stand at quarterback?
SNYDER: "Well, Joe, yes, he'll be able to go. So it'll be he and Kody Cook. If we have to go below that, it'll be me."
BIELEMA: "So we have a chance."
SNYDER: "You don't know that for sure."
...
REPORTER: I just noticed on Twitter that Nick Saban arrived at his press conference in Atlanta in a helicopter. Did you guys take a helicopter today by chance?
BIELEMA: "I personally would love to see Coach Snyder come in a helicopter. I would pay to see that. This is during recruiting week so we kind of had to adjust our schedules to get here, so I just came in standard airplane mode."
SNYDER: "We came on a motorcycle."
BIELEMA: "You know, that's a touchy subject."
...
REPORTER: Bret, what qualities does K-State have being coached under Coach Snyder -- general qualities?
BIELEMA: "Toughness."
SNYDER: "Slow."

Not sure, I had seen articles about him saying he could play QB if needed.

I copy-pasted this from Wildcat Salute.

BYU vs Utah was comical. Now it's just sad.

BYU has had 5 possessions and 5 turnovers. Utah had 7 offensive snaps when they went up 28-0.
