I think this is a circumstance where the jury realizes this guy is a danger to society.

Defense did have some decent points (for doubt's sake) and no murder weapon.

I actually thought they would find him not guilty of murder here but guilty of the other charges and then the double shooting figured he'd get the murder convictions there.

He's lucky Mass doesn't have the death penalty as he would probably be getting a needle for one of the two killing incidents if this were a different state.

I didn't think there was any way he would get off. There was so much evidence putting this guy there it was unreal. Even if he didn't pull the trigger, which wasn't required for the conviction, he was a moron for giving up a $40million payday by killing multiple people.

I really don't know how they could prove with out a shadow of a doubt all the charges.

Sure I think he did it, but there is no motive presented, no weapon, no witnesses. He admitted he was there but said it wasn't him that did it. I think he did but I don't think that was proved.

Also the other 4 counts are bullshit libtard 2A violations. Plain and simple. You have to have a firearms ID card to have ammo? Wow. Fuck that state.

Former Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez not guilty in Boston double murder

(Photo: Nancy Lane, AP)

Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez has been found not guilty of murder in the 2012 shooting of two men on a Boston street.
A jury returned the verdict late Friday afternoon in Suffolk Superior Court.
Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado were shot to death as they waited at a stoplight in the early morning of July 16, 2012.
Hernandez, 27, is currently serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole after being found guilty of the 2013 shooting of Odin Lloyd, who had been dating the sister of Hernandez' fiancee Shayanna Jenkins at the time of murder.
The jury had begun deliberations April 7.
The only charge Hernandez was found guilty on by this jury was unlawful gun possession and was sentenced to 4-5 years in state prison for that.
The verdict came down one day short of the two-year anniversary of Hernandez' conviction in the Lloyd case.
Hernandez turned to his long-time fiancee Jenkins and mouthed, "I love you."
As she left the court room, Jenkins would only say, "I am very, very happy" according to reporters there.
"A family lost two members and that was a tragedy," said Hernandez' defense attorney Ronald Sullivan. "And Mr. Hernandez was wrongly accused and that was a tragedy too."
As for what won the case, Sullivan said: "A dearth of evidence that connected Mr. Hernandez to these shootings."
Prosecutors said Hernandez shot de Abreu and Furtado after he became angry when one of them bumped into Hernandez at a nightclub earlier that night.
Defense lawyers countered that Alexander Bradley, a friend of Hernandez at the time, did the shooting. Bradley was the main witness for the prosecution.
"We are clearly disappointed," said Michael Conley, Boston's district attorney. "We put our best case forward. We thought we had enough evidence even without (Bradley's) testimony.
"There is a lot of sorrow and grief with the families right now."
Hernandez, who grew up in Bristol, Conn, played with the Patriots from 2010-2012.
He is appealing the Lloyd conviction.

Former Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez found dead in prison

BOSTON -- Former NFL star Aaron Hernandez, who was serving a life sentence for a murder conviction and just days ago was acquitted of a double murder, died after hanging himself in his prison cell early Wednesday, Massachusetts prisons officials said.
Guards found Hernandez, 27, unresponsive in his cell at the Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center in Shirley just after 3 a.m., Department of Correction spokesman Christopher Fallon said in a statement.
The former New England Patriots tight end was pronounced dead at UMass Memorial-HealthAlliance Hospital in Leominster about an hour later.
Massachusetts prisons officials say former NFL star Aaron Hernandez hanged himself in his cell and was pronounced dead at a hospital. He was 27. AP Photo/Steven SenneHernandez was in a single cell in a general population housing unit in the maximum security state prison. He hanged himself using a bed sheet that he attached to a cell window, Fallon said.
Hernandez tried to block the cell door from the inside by jamming the door with various items, Fallon said.
Fallon said he's not aware of any suicide note written by Hernandez and stressed that an investigation is ongoing. He said that officials had no concern that Hernandez was planning on taking his own life, and if there was a concern about his well-being, Hernandez would have been transferred to a mental health unit.
Hernandez was moved to tears on Friday after he was acquitted of the 2012 fatal shootings of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado in Boston. Just before his acquittal, Hernandez was seen blowing kisses to the little girl he fathered with fiancée Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez. Cameras captured the tender exchange.
But Hernandez was still serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole for his conviction in the 2013 shooting of Odin Lloyd, who was dating Jenkins-Hernandez's sister.
He was tried but acquitted in the slayings of de Abreu and Furtado, whom prosecutors contended were gunned down after one of the men accidentally spilled a drink on Hernandez in a Boston nightclub. The jury in that case found Hernandez not guilty of first-degree murder but convicted him of unlawful possession of a gun, and the judge sentenced him to an additional four to five years in prison -- separate from his existing life sentence.
Hernandez's lawyers did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Hernandez's death comes the same day the Patriots are making their visit to the White House to mark their Super Bowl win.
"We are aware of the reports, but I don't anticipate that we will be commenting today," a Patriots spokesman told ESPN on Wednesday morning.
Massachusetts State Police remain on the scene investigating the death.
Hernandez grew up in Connecticut and played for the Patriots from 2010 to 2012. The team released him in June 2013, shortly after he was arrested in Lloyd's killing.

I heard that since his first murder (Odin Lloyd murder) is on appeal, he won't die as a convicted murdered now, which would help his family/estate during a civil trial

edit*

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...er-conviction/

Aaron Hernandez was found dead in his prison cell on Wednesday morning after hanging himself using bedsheets and, under Massachusetts law, that means the murder conviction that sent him to prison in the first place has been voided.

Hernandez was still in the process of appealing his 2014 conviction of murdering Odin Lloyd, which means a legal principle dating back to English common law called “abatement ab initio” applies to his case. “Ab initio” translates to “from the beginning” and chief legal counsel to the Massachusetts Bar Association Michael Healy told the Boston Globe that the principle reverts a case to its start if the convicted party dies before the appeals process has concluded.

Healy said that civil proceedings in other cases involving the death of the convicted party were complicated because evidence established in the criminal trial cannot be used to make the civil case.

“Unfortunately, in the Odin Lloyd matter, for the family, there won’t be any real closure,” Healy said. “Aaron Hernandez will go to his death an innocent man.”

Not gonna lie, the suicide seems sketch. Mainly because the guy seemed like a stone-cold sociopath. Maybe it was to regain some semblance of control but I would have expected him to think "These fuckers will let me go eventually because Im that good." till the bitter end.
