I wonder how it looks with the human eye. I have no idea how many Hz the eye can see.

Camera trick. The camera can only "see" so many frames per second.

I'm glad someone typed that out because I legitimately thought some crazy sound waves reversed the flow of water lol.

LOL, no frequency of sound will force water to oppose the force of gravity, what you are seeing is an illusion based on the fact that the camera is operating at 24 frames per second (24 fps), so when the laminar flow of water is distorted at the same frequency, it appears the water "freezes" in space. Slower than 24 (like 23 in the video) reveals an appearance of the water flowing upward slowly, as well as 25 would appear as water falling in slow motion. This only works with a camera at a specific fps. At 30 fps, you would need 30hz, same with 60 fps, 60hz. So, true 1080p video could have the same effect at 60hz.

human eye can see individual pictures around 10-15hz, around 30-35hz the human eye see's only motion.

Have you ever stared at a spinning wheel and it seems like it is going in the other direction? Whats up with that shit? Fucking magnets. I have seen it when people film from an airplane, but never matched Hz with a speaker. Pretty neat

I want to see it shot in 60i just to see the difference.

Everytime I shoot in 60i it looks so trippy unless you're going to slow it down.
