Default Barely avoided

So the headlight switch is fucked up in my Escort so now when I turn my lights on only my headlights come on. Not the tail lights, not the running lights in front, not even the dash lights. Yesterday I was coming home from walmart at night and sure enough I passed a bored-as-hell Raymore cop. As soon as I saw him hit his breaks in my mirror I knew what was gonna happen (I was also speeding. Smart I know). I turned off the road the instantly into a random church parking lot. Shut off the car, turned off the lights, popped the hood and got out. He drove up and of course had to question me. I told him my car was running funny. He asked me about my tail lights and I told him I was fixing it tomorrow. He bought it all. No ticket. Needless to say I parked the car for the night.

I drive into Raymore every morning to go to the gym. The cops there have never even bothered with me. My srt-4 is fairly loud, but they have never looked twice. I had more issues with the Lenexa cops pulling me over in the cobra for excessive exhaust noise.

to the op... its s simple fix to get ya by.. just make a jumper from the headlight wire to the parking light wire...OR.... just get a new switch.

That was when I lived in Lenexa. The srt-4 gets ignore quite a bit because it sounds more like a dump truck.

open headers? unless there is a V6 or V8 under that hood your car only has one header.

so you call him bored as hell, despite you clearly not having your shit wired correctly, thus not legally visible on the road, as well as speeding?!

Why the senseless bashing when he clearly was doing his job and let you off by buying your bullshit story and shitty excuse for being a dumbass and now knowing how to properly wire your piece of shit car?

Why not tell the story as it really is? You are a dumbass. Cop was cool and let you off despite you clearly deserving a ticket.

It's not like a headlight switch is expensive or hard to replace. Fix your shit.
