Default The Golden State Warriors

Has anybody else been paying attention to this team? Holy shit, they have got me interested in basketball again for the first time in years. Steph Curry is having one of the greatest offensive streaks off all-time right now, and lots of people and computer models are predicting that (barring catastrophe) that they will break the 95-96 Bulls' "untouchable" record of 72-10.

http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/...dan-era-bulls/

Their games are a blast to watch. Especially when they come back from a 24 point deficit (Nets) or almost blow a 28 point lead (Pacers). They just always seem to be able to pull something out of their asses...

I hate NBA until the finals and it's interesting to follow it. Still can't watch any games unless it's the thunder against another good team but definitely fun to see their highlights and how fucking out of his mind Curry is.

I haven't had a chance to watch them play a full game but it is insane what they are doing. Also, how quick does Luke Walton get a head coaching job once Kerr comes back?

They'll likely just fire Kerr and replace him w/ Walton.

Not likely considering all he's doing is taking Kerrs plan and executing. It's not like Kerr is completely cut off from the team.

Kerr definitely needs to stay away until they lose. Just because.

This team seemed to be finding it towards the end of the year last year and carried it to winning it all, this is a continuation of that.

All over, and to the Bucks of all teams.

Curious how they play it out from here. Start coasting and lose here and there to rest players, or try to go for the Bulls record for season wins.

They have been resting plenty. Curry isn't even averaging 3 full quarters worth of minutes a game so far this season.

That road trip was just too much I guess. No team in NBA history had ever gone 7-0 on a single road trip, I can understand why now. They have a pretty relaxing schedule for the next month though so that'll be good for them. Plus Harrison Barnes hasn't even come back yet, that will help a bunch too. I really think they can get 73 wins this year.

73 wins
Curry 402 3 pointers (2nd most ever is 286)
Curry 3rd member ever of the 50/45/90 club
Team 1077 3 pointers
Thompson 2nd/3rd most 3 pointers all-time
54 game home winning streak
Never lost back-to-back games
Never lost to the same opponent twice
14-1 record against the other top 7 teams in the NBA

What an amazing season!

I'd still take the 95/96 Bulls in 7.

Houston is the 8 seed for a reason. Steph only gonna play 20 minutes this game and GSW still win by 30

Default The Golden State Warriors

I was talking about the double technical.

Edit: The money line on GS was -1500... I had little doubt they would win.

All the way. If you couldn't hand check jordan.... he would put up as many points as he wanted.

Well 12 hours after Curry broke the all-time record for most points in an OT period, he becomes the first person ever to win the MVP unanimously.

This is still looking like an all-time historic season. If they can get past the Spurs/Thunder I think they'll have the championship locked up.

Here's what I think is funny about the NBA MVP (not that it doesn't happen in other sports as well), but you're telling me that Steph Curry can is a unanimous MVP, but MJ wasn't?

LULZ.
