Barton has dropped every pass thrown his way. Frustrating.

His name is Burton, I keep fucking that up.

Someone is on the KState sports page with that last name defending him saying Huebner is over throwing him every time.

This game is going to set records for most flags in a game at Alamo dome.

That would have been so funny if they lost. They would never be able to let that loss go.

Anyone watching the Notre Dame game?

Does it matter tho? They went to overtime at the last minute to scrape by an fcs team. You don't do that as a 6th ranked team. Again, proving how worthless preseason polls really are. The record sec ranked teams is such a sham.

That's why the bitching on here was pointless. It was going to take care of itself.

Arkansas wasn't a top 25 team so them being included was ridiculous. Tennessee still hasn't proven they belong and Dobbs is very overrated.

Maybe, maybe not. Ohio state has a cake walk minus Michigan state. I think Michigan state is good, but not necessarily great at this point - especially their D. Tough to say that will take care of itself when it really doesn't get tested.

The SEC will also get too much credit for wins/losses in the conference with the majority of them being rated how they are. Auburn should have fell out. To be a 40+ point favorite against an FCS opponent, have to come back late in the game and win in overtime - they should have to win some bigger games to get back in the rankings.

Auburn not out is so fucking shitty. A lot of ap ballots are so fucking bad. People that shouldn't be voting are ruining these rankings.

Yeah, and Auburn's first game was close too, right? They had a new QB... that alone should have precluded that high a ranking.

Oh, and Baylor in for a rude awakening soon with their awful defense. Kind of think Oklahoma will win the Big 12 now.

I don't think Oklahoma is good enough to take the Big 12.

Auburn was put up there because $EC. Not for any justified reason. You cannot tell me that getting by a mediocre Louisville team and squeaking by (barely) this weekend, that they look like a legitimate top 25 team. If you started out of the rankings and pulled that shit, you aren't getting moved in.

To be perfectly honest - I wasn't all that impressed with what I saw of TCU. TCU took a bit to get going, but I think they have an opportunity to get scary once the season gets going. If their offense is half as good as it was last year, and they brought a lot back. I think there are a lot of teams that will have trouble keeping up.

I don't know if OU will be able to hang long enough with TCU or Baylor. Both of those squads are going to try to go so fast that they score a very high number of points. I don't see a lot of teams being able to keep up once that gets rolling. OU typically plays at a slower pace. I could see them losing either of those two, and a there are a few other teams that they will have to get by. They are not bad, but not unbeatable. They had to come back against a Tenn team that didn't look all that great either.

I got what he was saying. I am not sure I like the "argument" if you want to cal it that, and I probably sounded a little preachy towards him. Colleges cycle through players. That is part of it. It should have a variable impact on the rankings depending on the school, quality of recruits, etc. There are numerous teams with new position players that are or probably deserved to be ranked.

My biggest point, is that someone that struggled and had that same body of work, would not have worked their way into the rankings, let alone at 15. But Auburn, who was clearly overrated, gets one helluva benefit of the doubt.

TCU at least dominates their FCS opponents and so do most of the big 12. Unlike MU and Auburn and some others in the SEC.

I haven't really been impressed by anyone in the B12 so far. TCU has been overrated thus far. Baylor's offense has been great but they lack any defense. Even though they won this weekend, OU wasn't too impressive. K-State's defense has surprised me but the offense is pretty boring.

Joe Hubener is a pretty boring QB. To bad our starting QB won't be back this year.

Eh, Mizzou beat their FCS opponent by 31 and only gave up 191 yards of offense. Sure, they could have scored more and there are a few major questions on offense so far but defense is very good again.

But this isn't about Mizzou. What they do doesn't affect the quality of the Big 12.

I was suggesting that the SEC isn't so uber amazing like you and the sports media world (ESPN) wants to think they are.

Big 12 is 1-0 against the SEC right now.

Offense is crap. Mauk has not progressed. Need to just hand the reins to Lock full time.
