Default Update v.335i

I was going through my posts and realized that I have never really given an update on my car since I bought it.

Here is what I started with when I bought the car over two years ago: http://www.kcsr.org/showthread.php?p=2076280

And here is what it looks like now:

I didnt really do much to the car the first year I had it but here is what I have done since then:

Exterior:
1M replica LCI front bumper
LCI hood
Gloss black wrapped roof
High-kick performance style spoiler
4 inch exhaust tips (soon to be replaced with Dinan exhaust)
OEM blacklines taillights
I have been through a couple sets of wheels but I am back on stock wheels for now

Performance/maintanence:
JB4
DCI
Little bit of E85 when I feel like it
New turbos less than 10k miles ago
Misc standard maintenance items

I will be getting downpipes this winter then an upgraded intercooler later on down the road.

I think I am pretty much finished with the exterior. This is pretty much what I wanted my car to look like. I have a set of 19 inch CSL wheels in my garage but I might be looking for something else next summer along with a mild drop.

I will update this thread with more pics and updates as they happen.

Stock turbos were replaced under warranty. JB4 Map 5 with E30 should be around 360whp but I have never dyno'd it.

Agreed, I bought mine used and have put on a ton of miles (~20k/year) and have done a fair amount of maintenance for the time I've owned it. Nothing out of the ordinary on the motor and I'm at 108k now. I will say that the number of random electronic gremlins I've dealt with has been a bit annoying but it's probably just my luck.

Looks great. Why'd the turbo's need to be replaced? How many miles were on them?

Probably waste gate rattle. That's what the recall was for and extended the warranty for. Most people just had them replaced if their dealership would do it as more of a just because.

8yr/82k mile warranty for waste gate rattle. I wanted to get them replaced before time period expired. I got it done at 62k miles.

I think this is the only picture I have of the other wheels. I am having an issue with one of them which is why they are not on the car right now. I will see if I can get the issue figured out before I decide if I want to sell them or not.

The LCI conversion with the 1M front looks amazing! I really like the transformation the car has made since day 1.

Depends. My 07 had the WG issue, then the ECU blew, which took out the injectors AND coil packs. Then again I had quite a few mods done to mine.

I.E: JB4, DCI, DP, IC, etc...

Anyone want to buy this car? Nothing has really changed since I made this thread and I am in the market for an LS3 Corvette. Current miles are 78.3k and I am asking $11.5k.

Damn, this is the second one this week I've saw with under 100k for under $12k. That seems pretty cheap for what it offers.

Unfortunately depreciation is a bitch. I think one day the value will go back up on these but that probably won't be for another 8-10 years.

I had an E61, so different car, but my experience was different. I bought a clean 60k mile example, had it inspected, but still in the first year of ownership, incurred ~$5k in costs. Not all of these costs are applicable to a 3-series (rear air suspension, moon-roof), but others do and the grand total is why some people steer clear.
