They are just extremely hard to find and very popular. They also had some production issues late last year that made them even more scarce. The only place I found them at online in the last 6 months was bento box shop. They have a new version coming out later this year with CF scales.

It's 6061-T6 anodized aluminum. Feels pretty cool. I actually like it a lot. I'm a hardcore Spycerco guy, but this is a nice alternate for variety.

I got it from Bladeops.com last August. It was $230 shipped iirc. I also have a Microtech UTX-70 but I find it too small. . The Ultratech is just right.

Just these- today, and every day.

Cheap Chinese beat-it-up belt clip lock blade, but I've had it for 7 years, it holds a pretty good edge, and the screws finally quit falling out when I broke down and thread locked them.

Today, the Leek again.

After carrying the Kershaw Leek for a week or so, here are my impressions:

The Good
- It is thin
- It is light
- It holds an edge
- I love the color
- The Speedsafe opening action is really smooth and nice
- Great carry knife for the price (40 on amazon prime)
- Ergonomics are nice

The Bad
- The angle of the blade is kind of strange
- The blade is just a bit too short for my taste, it needs 1/2 inch more (don't we all)
- The lanyard hole is too small

The Ugly
- It has a tip lock slider lock on it that stops it from opening. On mine, if the thing is bumped just slightly it won't open, so I am forever pulling that damned thing down so it will open. Annoying!!!

Overall I like the knife and carry it quite a bit.

I have a damascus leek, it doesn't get much pocket time but its a crazy sharp blade from the factory and holds an edge well.

Mine doesn't hold it's sharp blade for long, but it sharpens so quickly, I mean 5 swipes on the sharpmaker and two soft pulls on the strop and its badassery!

The spyderco outlet store in Golden called me today and told me their first batch of black Southards have come in and they are holding one for me. Its pricy at like $325 so im debating on picking it up. I have wanted a spyderco flipper for awhile now tho.

Take that stupid thing off. I've removed it from every Leek I've had and that is too damn many Leeks. I don't lose knives and I am on my 3rd one of those. Pulled the safety off all of them.
