Default 2013 Regal GS Backup Camera

http://gm-navigation.com/backup-came...up-camera.html

Does anyone local do this type of integration? I could install the camera myself I just need the headunit re-programeed to allow it, and if any harness changes need to be made that as well.

My wife wants a backup camera, but the factory didn't offer one.

I've never personally added one into a head unit before (had a separate hand held instead) but I cant imagine it being that difficult. I've never heard of reprogramming a headunit though...basically if it has the feature for backup cam you hook it up to an AVI jack coming out of the headunit and that's all you need (or at least that's how all the headunits work I've ever messed with). very very simple, and you could certainly handle it if youre already installing and running wires for the camera.

you could try KC Trends, they might be able to but they are pricey IMO:

I'd offer to take a crack at it personally but im only in KC for the week and working 10-10 every day.

one question though:
is the current head unit double din or rather does it have a video display? like can you play dvds or something. because if it doesn't already have video capabilities odds are youre gonna be getting a new head unit in order us the backup camera.

also look up a thread under this section for other shop ideas
quality audio shop - patrick0889
or somethin like that...most audio places are going to be able to handle backup cams and stuff (since it all runs off the headunit anyway). nobody really specializes in one specific thing anymore...or at least they don't if they want to survive in this market ^.^
