Im 28 as of 2 days now, I have been fully self sufficient since I was 20. I do have a trust fund from my grand parents, but I have seen too many of my friends utilize theirs to buy a bunch of crap. However, I got my real estate license and invested in rental properties. I don't consider myself "rich", but I am living comfortably.
Car is a liability, real estate is an asset.

Serious question, outside of the rentals and trust fund, do you work?

Yes, I am a real estate agent, and I maintain a few marine aquariums for people on the side.

Your "I'm only popular because I'm rich" personality will only get you so far in life.

I have a test for you. Stop paying for things for your friends or letting them much of you for a week. How many do you think will still come around? I'm guessing none.

Good luck!

So basically you have things that keep you busy and dont have to "work" if you choose not to.

Not hating just saying.

Good on your grandparents for providing that opportunity. The trick is to continue that for them by making that money work instead of you working.

I know we don't agree on some things, but good for you I really mean that. If your grandparents left you a trust there nothing for anyone to hate on. They did a great thing and that's that. You didn't ask for the money they left it to you so life could be a little easier.

I am thankful, and that money is providing me with a stable monthly income from rental properties. I do most up keep on them myself, minus plumbing and electrical since I am not licensed and do not want that liability if something were to happen. Despite yesterday being my birthday, I spent most of the day stripping one of my tenants front and back doors with denatured alcohol and re-varnishing them.
Sure I don't work a 9-5, but I still get my hands dirty here and there.

My three friends are all fairly well off. All parents make a decent wage. All 3 of my buddies have 3.5 liter sedans newer than 2008. I do my best to come off as vanilla and hide the money in real life. For instance I feel like a pretentious cunt driving to Good Cents in my car. If someone asks what I drive I just say "a Honda Accord" and that's that. When people try to be friendly because they notice something I will literally just cut contact with them. They don't deserve anyones time by being fake for a financial reason. There is nothing more that I hate then being treated differently because of how much money your damn dad makes. I want to be my own person desperately. I want to be self made without my dads help. However I won't have any college debt, all the generations in our family pay for their children's education. That means I will be paying my kids through College too.

Now all you have to do is continue the tradition of finishing college and actually making something of yourself to be able to afford the college tuition for the kids you might have. Good luck with that. Your parents and grandparents faced much different world then and its now more of a global economy now, you are going to find a much different job climate when/if you graduate from whatever prestigious university you refuse to tell us.

If you act so humble in meatspace, then why act like a pretentious thundercunt on here. You're not impressing us.

I deal with things online inappropriately. I kinda just got slapped in the face by this forum initially and that kind of brought on the doushebaggery to a new level. It's nothing personal. However i'm done with my alienation and just want to crack a few jokes and talk about cars.

Yeah, you're right reality is getting worse by the moment. I hate uncertainty and worrying If i'll be able to be financially secure with a family 10-15 years down the road.
