Default Buford's GT500

Hey guys. I feel like it's been forever since I've been on here. I keep up with a lot of KC people on Facebook but figured I'd check back in and update the folks who I haven't chatted with in a while.

2013 GT500 (bought with 30 miles on it back in April)

Yes, I still have the red 2v car. It's in my garage and almost done.

Hope KCSR likes it!

I laughed out loud at the 2V being "almost done".

It's been almost done for years

Nice GT500!

Car is very nice, congrats on the pickup.

I only know limited info on your 2v, but I have to ask, with this, why bother with your other car? I don't know the backstory, I'd assume with all the headache you want to just see it through?

I am pretty sure that is everyone's question.

Had it since I was a kid. I got thousands of dollars into it and blood sweat and tears into it from my time overseas. I'll never sell it. The engine took quite a bit of time to get rebuilt so I bought the Shelby to toy with in the meantime.

I sold almost everything off the previous 2v build before, rewired it all, all new parts, that stuff takes time, especially doing it in the garage with my friends... In the end, its going to be a low 8 second street car. I don't expect anyone to understand but I have no emotional attachment to the Shelby, it's a nice car and all though.

So the Shelby will be sold when the red car is done?

I guess the extensive, ridiculous, hard to understand build time of the 2V is no longer a joking matter

Far from a joking matter because you don't know the personal and financial loss I've had with it. Let's stay on the GT500 and I'll be happy

I created Mod Motor Mustangs after I sold the G8 so from the perspective, it ended up working out really well for me so I have no regrets. It was a sweet car though.

I agree. G8's are the sex.
Great looking gt500. I would love to own a car like that.

Oh I think I understand. I feel the same way about my car. It's slow and it is old but it's become an extension of me. It's a part of my identity. I was devastated when it was stolen. Now I cannot wait to pick it up and bring it home from Amarillo. I'm taking this car to my grave.

Anyway, congrats on the new car!

Any updates on either car? I'm friends with you on fb but haven't really seen much lately about either car. I go without Facebook for a while here and there so I may have missed stuff. Also congrats on how big mmm is, I'm sure that is a handful.

Thanks guys.

The GT500 is modded pretty good but I'm keeping that to myself. Im going to be racing 1/2 mile and standing mile events.

2v car has so much new stuff. I don't even know where to begin.

Mind if I ask what the G8 sold for?

New car looks great! Favorite color by far.

If I recall right, he only bought it to hold him over until the 2v build was done.

Pretty sure he had it listed for $38k. A steal for how much power it made...

Have you found any other Shelby cars with the same color combo?

I saw a gt yesterday that had the same combo, but it was an aftermarket stripe job. Just curious as to if it's just really rare or a custom order type deal.
