RUMOR: Final Scene Of Man of Steel Revealed? (Possible Spoilers)

Is this how the final scene of 2013' epic blockbuster pans out? Click the link to find out how!

A user over on the SuperHeroHype Forums claims to know how the final moments of Director Zack Snyder's Man of Steel pans out.

"Clark will only be working at the Daily Planet for the final few minutes. His evolution of the course of the film is finding his place in the world. After he defeats Zod he has found his place, as Earth's savior. Then Lois asks that question "What are you going to do when your not saving the world?" Which is why he goes to work at the Daily Planet. There is a Classic Nolan montage scene of where all the characters are at interlocking with Clark on his way to the Daily Planet on his bike. The scene ends with Clark walking through the lobby and then putting his glasses on. As somebody walks past the screen it fades to BLACK. ROLL CREDITS."

Sounds about right to me from what I know of the film (Which is a lot!)

More from SFX Magazine, Deb Snyder on MAN OF STEEL

Deborah Snyder talks to SFX Magazine about Man Of Steel story, costumes and more. "It's the greatest adoption story in all of history"

In the recent issue of SFX Magazine, Deb Snyder dishes on Lois casting, the costume and what she feels is the heart of the movie. Click the link below for more from Mrs Snyder!

On the heart of the story:

"Someone said to me it’s the greatest adoption story in all of history. I think that’s an interesting way of looking at it – maybe because I was just in the process personally of adopting my two children. The people of Earth adopt him and he adopts us, as well. A lot of the messaging in this film is about family, and who makes you who you are. Clark is on this journey of self discovery, trying to figure out who he is and where he fits in, and in the end he comes to see what Jor-El, his Kryptonian father, has sacrificed and given for him. And he also realises how his Earth parents made him who he is. All those themes and notions follow him throughout the whole film. That’s something that resonated with me, even from when we started reading the script and started talking about doing this film."

On why they cast Amy Adams:

"Amy [Adams] is an amazing actor. With all the casting we tried to get the best actors we could, because it just gives it credibility. In so many ways we didn’t look at it as a genre superhero movie – we looked at it as a great story that we were telling, and we wanted to get the best people. Amy embodied so much of Lois – she’s feisty herself and she’s so versatile, and she was really just perfect for the role."

On the Costume :

"It’s a daunting process, because you want to be true, and we’re very respectful of the canon. But you also have to look at what’s happening on the screen right now with superhero costumes. It has to be relatable to a modern audience. But at the same time you don’t want to say “Who is that? That kinda looks like Superman…” It has to read, at first blush, as Superman. We went through so many iterations of the costume and yes, Zack did try very hard to make the underpants on the outside of the costume work – there are nods to it, with the belt and with some of the side detail on the costume, and that just felt more appropriate to the movie we were making. The other thing that was important for Zack was that the costume not come out of nowhere. It had to have a reason. We were building a world. We go to Krypton and we see this world, and we see that everything has its place. If they’re in space he wanted it to feel like a space suit, and he wanted it to feel like the underlayer that they would maybe put armour over. It’s also a caped society, so when you go to Krypton he wanted to see variations of this costume. And knowing that it was a caped society he wanted that to be evident when we were on Krypton, so when Clark finally finds the costume and puts it on you’ve established where it’s come from."

There's more great quotes over at the SFX website and you can click the link below to check them out!

Huge Bunch Of MAN OF STEEL SPOILERS Hit The Web

Some big spoilers for the upcoming Man Of Steel have just hit the web. They can be found in Man Of Steel: Inside The Legendary World Of Superman. These spoilers contain interesting facts about Zod's past and much more. Hit the jump if you dare!

Superman's suit is actually a Kryptonian environmental suit that appears to be used to help navigate the Kryptonian vessels which are actually alive.

The Phantom Zone projector is located in Krypton's orbit.

The Black Zero, a prison barge, is the ship that takes the criminals to the Phantom Zone, located in subspace.

Krypton's explosion causes Zod to be able to take control of Black Zero and becomes his flagship.

The Black Zero also has a squadron of drones associated with it - smaller ships.

Zod mentally torments Superman, as seen with the recent skulls image enveloping Superman from the latest trailer, which is said to be a dream sequence.

Superman as a tyrant is part of the dream sequence with the Man of Steel in an all black version of the suit, as Zod is in essence tempting him like the Devil.

It's said that as comic fans you want to see a flying fist-fight scene.

We learn more about the Fortress of Solitude, which we learned the origin for in the Man of Steel prequel comic book. It's organic; full of Kryptonian artifacts; environmental skinsuits which becomes Superman's costume; powers up after 18,000 years; bursts from the ice to land in a mountaintop.

Zod is sentenced to 300 years of reconditioning in the Phantom Zone.

Kyrptonians gave up space travel; they put together Black Zero through spare parts, sort of "hot wired it."

We learn that the birth of Kal-El was natural and highly illegal on Krypton. Krypton has a caste system where each person is genetically designed. Jor-El and Lara wanted to create the first free Kryptonian, which places them in extreme danger.

House of El command key is inside baby Kal-El's ship.

There are robots on Krypton and mention of a Genesis Chamber.

Man Of Steel Spoiler: Mackenzie Gray Role Revealed

With Man Of Steel only three weeks away, more and more details about the movie are starting to leak out online. One of the biggest mysteries of the Man Of Steel has been what role Mackenzie Gray will play in the movie. There have been lots of rumors and speculation in regards to his role, so be warned that spoilers follow that reveal his actual role.

The biggest rumor about Mackenzie Gray’s role has been that he will play Lex Luthor. Ain’t It Cool News reported that a source told them that Lex Luthor would play a major role in Man Of Steel, so speculation naturally led to Mackenzie Gray, who had played a Lex Luthor clone in Smallville and had revealed that he had a role in Man Of Steel. Other rumors suggested that Mackenzie Gray might be playing Braniac.
However, the latest online buzz is that Mackenzie Gray is playing neither Lex Luthor nor Braniac. Mackeznie Gray is instead playing a Kryptonian scientist named Jax-Ur. On Krypton, Jax-Ur is basically an evil scientist-type, who joins up with Zod.
In the comic books, Jax-Ur has had a couple of different storylines throughout the various DC Comics reboots. Most often Jax-Ur has been written as a criminal scientist who destroyed Krypton’s moon. In the Smallville TV series, there was also a Kryptonian scientist named Dax-Ur, who is considered to be either a TV version of Jax-Ur or a brother of Jax-Ur. Interestingly enough, Dax-Ur was the creator of Braniac in the Smallville TV series. Could Zack Snyder be planning to use Jax-Ur to lay the groundwork for the introduction of Braniac in Man Of Steel?

Mackenzie Gray's Role In MAN OF STEEL Revealed

When the actor announced that he had a secret role in Zack Snyder's reboot, many speculated that he'd be playing Lex Luthor, then a Brainiac rumor popped up, but it turns out he won't be either of them! Click on to find out who Gray will play in Man Of Steel.

The latest character that Gray is rumored to be portraying in Man Of Steel is Jax-Ur -- a rogue Kryptonian scientist who joins up with General Zod. Comicbook.com (via Digital Spy) don't cite a source (aside from "online buzz") so it'd be best not to read too much into it until we have more evidence, but I'd say this is more likely than him playing either Lex or Brainiac myself. Jax-Ur has been depicted in several different ways since his debut in DC comics, and popped up in Smallville as a character called Dax-Ur, creator of Brainiac. Could Snyder and co. have similar plans for him in Man Of Steel? Do you think this will even be the character he'll play? Sound off below.

UPDATE: Thanks to CMBer MrShumway, we now have proof that Gray will indeed be playing Jax-Ur. Check out this image from an official Man Of Steel art book.

Zack Snyder Says He Simply Tried To Make Superman Cool In MAN OF STEEL

Director Zack Snyder's excitement was palpable this morning on Canada's Breakfast Television. When asked about a comparison to Christopher Nolan's Batman films, Snyder sidesteps the question by saying he just tried to make Superman cool.

Man of Steel director Zack Snyder was in Canada for promotional duties this morning. Below is a transcript of some of what was discussed on Breakfast Television.

On the initial decision to assume directorial duties on the Superman reboot:
Zack Snyder: Superman, I'm a bit of a fan so having the opportunity to work on Superman is a little bit of a dream come true. [It was] super exciting, a little bit of pressure but really fun.

With Christopher Nolan serving as producer and helping develop the story, do you think people should compare Man of Steel to his work on The Dark Knight trilogy?
Zack Snyder: Only in that it's a modern way in looking at the characters. Everyone's used to Superman in a way, maybe in your mind you say, " I know exactly what Superman is.' We were able to say [with Man of Steel], what about this way of looking at him? We tried to make him more modern but it's hard to talk about him that way in those terms. Everyone asks 'Oh, did you make him more modern' but what does that mean? We just tried to make him cool.

On rumors of a Batman/Superman World's Finest follow-up to Man of Steel.
Zack Snyder: I haven't heard that but that sounds awesome. That's how rumors get started, I did not know that.

Henry Cavill On MAN OF STEEL, "My Version Of Superman Is...."

Talking to Details Magazine, Henry Cavill speaks about Man of Steel, the film that's buzzing rather loudly about Hollywood (His contract includes two more sequels). Plus, details on a scene from the early, vagrant years of Clark Kent.

Actor Henry Cavill was just profiled in the Men's Magazine, Details but before the interview commenced, the article's writer got to see some footage from Zack Snyder's film. Here's how he described the scene.
In a darkened editing bay on the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, California, Man of Steel footage rolls on a 70-inch screen. Finally, here's the director Zack Snyder's long-awaited, top-secret Clark Kent: swarthy and muscular, working at a bar on a lonely stretch of highway. No Brooks Brothers. No glasses. No Daily Planet. Instead, Kent, in jeans and a henley, is a drifter, bouncing from job to job, not yet ready to assume his true calling, not yet given the chance. Kent finds work far from any Metropolis. Among deckhands. And roughnecks. And wasted truckers who grope innocent women while he buses tables. He tells them to stop. They get aggressive, tossing beer, throwing punches. One connects and he takes it. Kent walks away, seething. He later lashes out, unleashing his long-pent-up wrath on inanimate aluminum and steel. This is Clark Kent struggling, grappling with the possibility of keeping his powers secret forever.
Are you still with me? That sounds like an important moment in the journey Clark takes towards becoming the Man of Steel. From here however, the footage ends and the interview begins as Cavill and present company dive into the Q&A. After losing out on some big roles, Cavill landed a star role on the Showtime series, The Tudors. What did he do in his downtime? He read Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time fantasy series (sorry Game of Thrones advocates). "The books are about the rise of a chosen one with great powers," Cavill said of the fantasy series. Pretty fitting considering the actors current situation. "I'd stay up until five, six in the morning reading. I couldn't put them down, said Cavill of the late Jordan's epic fantasy saga. The actor has also admitted in previous interviews that he's a big World of Warcraft player as well. So while he didn't read many comic book growing up, please don't doubt his geek cred.

Finally tackling the task at hand, Cavill says, "My version of Superman, is essentially of a guy who has spent his whole life alone." Well Cavill is certainly not alone at the moment, his girlfriend is Gina Carano (Fast & Furious 6) and the actress conveniently pegged to be the next Wonder Woman. Cavill admits a bit of nervousness about the role of Superman, acknowledging that he currently doesn't have a job lined up at the moment. Bu the interview was conducted in April and news just dropped today that he's in talks to replace Tom Cruise in The Man From U.N.C.L.E. Cavill is proud of Man of Steel however, "But I cannot wait for this movie to come out. The studio just showed me the completed cut. I literally asked to watch it twice in a row. I'm so excited. I just want to show it to the world." Cavil also reveals that he currently signed up to play Superman in at least two more films.

Details even managed to land a few choice quotes from Superman nemesis General Zod (Michael Shannon) who praised Cavill and said he's on the cusp of super stardom. "Henry's about to be one of the more famous people on the planet," said Shannon. The actor went on to add, "Getting to play Superman is a blessing and a curse. It's a hard character to capture. He's devoid of animosity or sarcasm, but he's not a dullard either. It's an overwhelming movie, and Henry's right in the middle of it, and he just carries it like a champ."

MAN OF STEEL: Zack Snyder Says This Version Of Clark Kent Isn't "Fully Realized"

We've seen plenty from Superman, but fans have wondered how exactly his alter ego Clark Kent would be handled in this movie -- will we see the bumbling, glasses wearing version? Read on to find out what director Zack Snyder has to say..

The embargo has lifted on the Man Of Steel set visits so even though some of the info and details will be out of date, expect a few new tidbits here and there -- such as the following: How exactly will Clark Kent be handled in the movie? Obviously we've seen Superman out of costume as Clark, but what about the mild mannered civilian disguise he adopts once he begins working at the Daily Planet? All previous movie incarnations went with the awkward, glasses wearing office nerd type, but Snyder says they have gone a different route here, and suggests there's plenty of room for development of the character.

I’ll only say that I think in a lot of — well, definitely in the movies — he always jumps straight from childhood to Clark. Like, he jumps from sort of his teenage version of himself to the adult version of himself. Frankly, The Daily Planet Clark, that happens pretty quick. I just think that our Clark, he’s not fully realized and I think — by the way, that’s huge information — but I think that’s the big difference. That’s why there’s this talk about who Clark is. In a lot of ways, the movie really is about the why of Clark, not to say that this kind of bumbling — I don’t want to call him bumbling — his mocky, nerdy Clark is… But that’s not the Clark that we went after or are going after. We’re going after sort of a different, there’s a different take on Clark, how Clark is.
And what about those glasses? When asked how long he spent searching for the right pair, Snyder replies: "The ones that he may or may not wear could’ve taken or may not have taken some time to find. [Laughs]". For much more from Snyder click the link back to Collider below.

New MAN OF STEEL Details

Yesterday saw the embargo lift on The Wolverine, and today the curtain is similarly pulled back a bit on Man of Steel. There's a somewhat detailed description of a battle between Superman, Faora and (spoilers) after the jump.

Some of the info Collider gathered during their time on the set of Man of Steel makes for really interesting bar trivia. Other revelations put me in a fervor to see Man of Steel IMMEDIATELY! Here's a recap of some of the juicier facts from their set visit report. The action sounds absolutely insane, something we've never seen in a comic book movie before.

-There is no second unit on Man of Steel. Zack Snyder shot every scene himself.

-Everything in Man of Steel was shot on hand held cameras.

-Collider was informed that Superman kicks a lot of ass but also gets his ass kicked.

- A pretty interesting revelation, the filmmakers have a three-level strength class. It's made up of a regular human, other Kryptonians and Superman. It's unclear whether they mean 'Kryptonians on Krypton' or 'Kryptonians on Earth'. If its the second option then that heavily implies that Superman is stronger than Zod and his cohorts, which would actually make sense as he's been on Earth far longer. They also touch on Superman's strength, saying that he has limits, 'he can't fly through space for an infinite amount of time.' I think you can expect to see Superman flying through space and maybe running out of breath and falling back down to the Earth (that would be a great visual) but that's just my speculation.

-Snyder confirmed there are NO slow-motion action shots in Man of Steel.

-David S. Goyer says a 'power or two' that's never been revealed before in any previous version of a Superman film will be shown in Man of Steel. Heat vision, super speed, flight, strength and super breath have all been done before. What does that leave?

-Krypton's backstory:
Krypton has been civilized for 100,000 years and they have been traveling in space for over 25,000 years. In addition, the gravity on Krypton is 4 to 10 times that of Earth and humans can’t breathe on the planet. This is all going to be used to explain why Superman can fly, how he gets his powers, and the science behind everything. Krypton is a true alien world and the production created a full Kryptonian language. When we see some of the buildings on Krypton and they have writing on the side, you will be able to translate it as they will have meaning.
Sound like Krypton is just like Planet Vegeta.

-Krypton's social system is akin to feudal Japan, complete with their own Gods and Guilds. In feudal Japan, there was a strict hierarchy and lower class individuals were essentially at the mercy of their upper class superiors. Superman will have to decide whether he will follow the moral code of Krypton or Earth.

-Superman's costume is not just a fashion statement or an undergarment for Kryptonian astronaut armor. It can actually do 'something' and has a specific reason for being created.

-Christopher Nolan was not on set during filming but he did call Goyer to keep in touch with the film's progress.

-Henry Cavill has to "warm up" his American accent. He can't just 'speak it' on the spot.

-There's no comic relief character in Man of Steel.

SPOILER SECTION: Read At Your Own Peril

[Hide]
-One of Superman's earliest battles is against Faora and a Kryptonia robot. Superman was losing but then fires a heat blast and his reaction seems to indicate that's the first time he's discovered that power.

-When the US Army shows up to attack the three combatants, the robot takes the most damage, Faora moves a bit more but Superman hardly moves an inch. An indicator of the difference in strength and invulnerability level of the film's main fighters.

-Continuing the battle with Faora and the Krypton robot, at some point during the confrontation, Superman realized he can't win.

-The battle that's described is pretty intense. Thrown U-Haul trucks, exploding helicopters, even a facedown slam from Superman on Faora that cracks the ground.

-From the scene being described, the battle is the one onlookers captured last summer during filming where Faora and the infamous Mo-Cap Man confronted Superman.

SPOILER: Has The Huge DC Universe Reference In MAN OF STEEL Been Found?

Brazilian pop culture specialists have possibly revealed the huge easter egg that will tie Man Of Steel and Justice League together. Hit the jump to check it out!

(The teaser image has nothing to do with this article) Now, we as fans have been on our knees praying for a successful Superman movie (remember Returns?) for quite some time. Anyways, it seems as though we finally have the movie we can call our own. For months people have asked the question; "will Man Of Steel have a reference to another DC character?". The answer is yes, yes we will.
In one scene of the film, Zod destroys a satellite orbiting the Earth. In this satellite seems inscribed logo of Wayne Enterprises, which obviously puts Batman and Superman in the same reality.

Zack Snyder Confirms Huge MAN OF STEEL Easter Egg

We already heard the rumor detailing how Man Of Steel might tie into a larger DC cinematic universe, but now we've got confirmation straight from the horse's mouth. Obviously if you don't want to be SPOILED, read no further.

You probably already read yesterday's rumor describing how Man Of Steel might tie into a shared DC universe in a scene which reveals the Wayne Enterprises logo on a satellite, but now we have confirmation from Zack Snyder himself..and he also brings up Lex Luthor's name. "The Wayne Enterprises logo is on a satellite that Zod destroys. I don't know [if this means they'll team up]", the director explains to Collider. "Everything is interesting at this point. And don't forget that Lex is out there, doing who knows what..." So whether we do eventually see Superman and Batman meet on the big screen, Snyder has made it abundantly clear that they do at least exist in the same movie universe. And that Lex mention? Is he hinting that IF both characters meet that Luthor will be involved somehow? He says he doesn't know anything about it but he might just be playing coy. What do you think?

Early Buzz: Is ‘Man of Steel’ This Summer’s Best Blockbuster?

Between a small handful of very good, very early reviews and a strong marketing campaign, Zack Snyder‘s Man of Steel has been getting pretty great buzz for some time now. And as the release date creeps closer, the positive word-of-mouth is only getting louder.
While there aren’t any official reviews up yet, a vague but promising consensus so far is that Man of Steel is an action-packed epic worthy of the world’s most iconic superhero. That’s no small feat. Hit the jump to read the comments.
TMZ’s Josh Dickey (via Comic Book Movie) collected a few notable reactions, including the two below from anonymous “movie people.”
MOS is awesome. Best summer movie yet.
I loved MOS. Completely disagreed with people nitpicking “not enough personality.” It’s different: Bigger action, tight, VERY focused story.
Dickey also picked up these glowing comments from Daniel Dalton.
Man Of Steel is unlike any Superman film you’ve ever seen. Initial thoughts: Looked amazing, action was stunning, Cavill & cast excellent.
Best film he’s made. I loved his Watchmen, but this is a better fit for his skills. Oh, and there was no slo-mo
Rusty was great, got a nice opening scene. K-Cost rocked the world weary farm wisdom of Pa Kent like a boss.
as much as I enjoyed Returns, this is an entirely different beast. Returns felt anachronistic somehow. MoS is of this time.
Singer’s film was too tied to Donner’s. This shrugs off any creative shackles and paints with a free brush.
An anonymous tipster who wrote in to AICN had similarly nice things to say.
Overall, it’s gloriously flash and fun, bold and hallucinogenic, all the while having a touch of grit, grain and gravity. What it is is seriously geeky, and was probably made to appeal to Superman fans first and foremost. This is because it takes its mythology seriously. It’s a long movie, but it’s never boring. It does return to the greatness of the first two movies.
The embargo imposed by the studio is keeping most folks from saying too much, but a few couldn’t resist dropping vague but encouraging hints.
Do yourself a favor……..go see Man of Steel when it comes out. That's all I'm saying.

I feel like I won the lottery and can't talk about winning the lottery.

Other movie lovers couldn’t or wouldn’t divulge their own reactions, but were happy to comment on other people’s excited reactions.
@NotoriousJLD heard "crazy good" spoke to me personally, very good, 11/10, 10/10, great, winning the lottery, best superhero movie ever

@NotoriousJLD Feedback I've heard from numerous people is "very good but not great."
— Mike Sampson (@mjsamps) May 31, 2013
@NotoriousJLD One dm I got for MOS stated that it made him weep it was that great. He wishes he could write about it and beak this embargo.

A friend's reaction to a certain movie coming out in a couple of weeks: "I was expecting a 9, but it was seriously a 10."
— ErikDavis (@ErikDavis) May 31, 2013
WOW! Hearing from lots of folks that MAN OF STEEL scale is so dope & epic, that it makes THE AVENGERS look like a Syfy TV movie of the week!
— elmayimbe (@elmayimbe) June 2, 2013
Just got this MAN OF STEEL review from someone whose opinion I value: "Very good. Massive in scale and action."
— Marc Graser (@marcgraser) June 1, 2013
Of course, every film has its detractors. One who didn’t seem so hot on Man of Steel was Jenn Murphy, as quoted by Comic Book Movie.
There’s a reason why they told us not to tweet about the movie we just saw: IT’S TERRIBLE!!!
Also it definitely fails the Bechdel Test. Seriously can big budget movies create a decent role for a woman? It’s getting pretty ridiculous.
Meanwhile, one blogger wrote in to inform Dickey that their sources had strongly disliked Man of Steel.
I haven’t seen MoS, but from those that have (and are under embargo) I’ve heard it’s abysmal. …. four or five said to go in with way, way lowered expectations, that they’ve removed all sense of the character from film
It’s worth taking all of this buzz with a grain of salt. Early reactions like these can be hyperbolic, and that goes double when so much of the chatter is based on third-hand accounts. But if the film is even half as good as rumored, it sounds like Warner Bros.’ DC universe could get a serious boost when Man of Steel opens June 14.

I keep thinking that every trailer is making it look way to awesome, and the movie is going to be a let down. Then a new trailer comes out and it looks like its going to be the best superhero movie ever, again.

Has the potential to be better than the Avengers.
