It's crazy good money for someone that doesn't have a college degree. I worked as a shift manager for a place in college, pay wasn't as good, but decent. It sucks, but I made more money than probably 98% of the kids I was in class with.

Night shifts and 46 hours for $34k plus a bonus they say averages $5k. Why would a bonus be included in pay like that.

To attract people?

This is actually a great job with good benefits, even for someone with a degree, IMO. QT is still in a stage where there is liekly a ton of growth still. People complain that there is no jobs, but then scoff at a 46 hr work week @ $35k/yr because night hours.

Why wouldn't it? Good companies pay bonuses across the board.

Not that uncommon for stuff like profit sharing.

I probably worded my post wrong. I'm asking why they would say $39k after an average $5k bonus. Put that shit at $34k plus an average $5k bonus. You tell people $39k and they budget on $39k and oh no, it's a below average year, here's your $36k, that's nearly a months salary gone.

Maybe it's just me who sees it this way. There are a lot of shady, shitty employers out there that would pull that shit. Not that QT is one, its just a possibility.

They are very clear about it. If you budget off a bonus (paid at year end btw), then that's on you.

They aren't that clear. They list the salary as $39k.

C'mon Karolyn, be serious.

It's clearly stated in the same line where the number comes from. It's an average bonus. Regardless, $35k, with no degeree for 46 hours/week is not bad money. There's times when I wish I would've taken it more seriously when I was working at another company to go to QT. Tuition reimbursement, benefits, and I think a store manager makes around $60k/year. That's good money, imo.

lots of overtime when I worked there.
Breaks were non existent. You take one and 5 minutes later "we are getting slammed, end your break and help". Lunches were the same way. Stores at the time I worked there were always understaffed. Lots of theft from the general public(even with the above average camera's/police presence).

I trained in a decent store and worked in one near downtown wichita and right near the "oldtown" district of bars/clubs/ food establishments and the ghetto nearby.

I have never seen so many black guys get squeaky voice as they ask to buy condoms lol.

Dirty ass people and dirty ass bathrooms after they leave.

Pay was decent, being busy made your day quicker.

At the time I worked there gas theft was an hourly problem, it was funny catching people mid attempted theft and they shut off the nozzle real quick and pay for their $3.37 in gas when they realize you are watching them and recognize them from stealing gas earlier in the week.
