two things:

1. note the absolute lack of wind. the only two things my quadracopter does outside is crash and cost money. aside from that these videos are absolutely staggering in flight dynamics. I think I want an upgrade

2. thats (the costa vid) one of the only original music vids I have ever watched without either turning the music OFF or throwing up or both.

Mine will hold rock steady in a hard wind.

Pasty, since you had a go pro on there. How did you pilot the uav? since the gopros dont have a live feed were you able to SEE where it was at all times?

Oh I just have the GoPro mounted, I wasn't flying FPV, I was flying line if sight and the gopros do have the capability of streaming a live feed... You just need the USB cable for it and a video transmitter

This past weekend I went to the Nürburgring and met up with some friends that were having their annual meet at the ring for their forum.

One of the guys there had a quad copter. Here is a pic and the video he put together after the event.

You can see him sitting in the chair flying it with his video goggles on.

Got mine all assembled, first attempt of flying was in basement of friends house. Just wanted to get it a few inches off the ground then move to a bigger area. Well needless to say, thinking I had it setup was well off. Thing went sideways, killed two props in a fury of a crash.

Second attempt was in garage, got it a few inches off ground. Decided to go make a few changes..when doing so I mistakenly had it moving while doing an update and gyro's we're off...(didn't find that out til after the 2nd failure). This time I decide my hand was a good prop stop, didn't turn out to bad got a 2inch long cut across palm. Barely broke skin, so I'm very lucky.

I got most of the flight controller sorted out, just waiting on new props for this thing. Also think I'm going to tie it down for the next few test.

If this doesn't work out, I have a new idea for a electric lawn mower

69 highway and 223rd, basically south joco. Currently its in Merriam at friends house where we've been getting it setup. I have some new props coming since I hosed all but 3. I ordered a bulk order from rctimer 25 in total for a awesome deal of 25 bucks. Got orange this time so blood shows up easier

But in all seriousness I can't wait til blades get in, thinking I have it setup a lot better this time and not so much prematurely.

Specs are 40a HK esc's with simon k firmware, cc3d flight controller, turnigy 9x radio gear, two batteries running 4s 5200mah total, rctimer 2812 880kv motors, 10x5 props, cheap 20 alien frame.

Total weight is 1400 grams, without any camera or fpv gear. Thing is a beast.

think that's about it.

Would any of you guys be interested in doing some Video of some of my helicopters? Id love to see them from all angles in flight, think it would be pretty cool. And give you guys a moving target to chase Heres a quick one of my Goblin from my first flight yesterday. The ground angles are getting boring

Does anyone have camera gimbal on their quad? Thinking of finally getting a hero3 gimbal, possibly a carbon fiber one if I can find one under 200

Taking the quad to san Francisco here in a few weeks, been ordering stuff to clean it up and get it all prepped.

A snip from my GoPro vid, arches national park. Need FPV gear, a bit to high for the eye and also need a gimbal. I think I was 300ft+ here

Any of you guys know anything about the Storm Drone 6? I briefly owned a DJI phantom 2 vision but it left a lot to be desired in terms of needing a 2D gimbal. Looking at building a better unit.
