The sky is falling! I'm not sure what areas you are referring to (LS is quite spread out), but I've lived there for about 16 years, with an 18 month hiatus living in hillbilly hell between Grain Valley and Oak Grove, without any issues whatsoever.

That's why I'm asking where the bad areas are. I've lived in two different areas in the city (same general quadrant though).

Did you see the part where I said 'between'? I was in unincorporated Jackson County. Typical Grain Valley resident not being able to read

(Yes, I am just messing with you)

Just hop on Nextdoor and look at all the crime reports, car breakin's and what not.

Its not terrible, but its getting worse.

I found a Suburban parked in my yard next to my house one day. Aparently it got ditched there when someone ran from the cops. They hid in my back yard. They had moved furniture to the fence so they could stand on it and look over my fence. While there, the cops told me my neighborhood ($180-270k) has a couple houses they watch because of drug activity.

Most of the other issues seem to be related to parents not having a clue about what their kids are up to.

I'm planning to head to a more rural area eventually.

If you saw our Nextdoor posts from our neighborhood you'd think crime was happening nightly.

"Guys, I saw someone in a hoody walking down the street at 9pm last night. Be on the look out"

"There was a white work van that was driving slowly down the street at 5:30pm. I watched it as they were about to drive by looking out the window and they waved at me. Guys be careful out there." --- Mind you this was after a post complaining about people speeding up and down the neighborhood. First we are complaining about people speeding up and down the road and now we are complaining about a work van driving slowly and waving at them.

I can't make this shit up.

When are you and the wife planning on going out of town? Address is still the same, right?

No reason. Just curious. 😁

I appreciate the offer!

I usually always go to my brothers. He has all sorts of the "good" bang bangs, if you know what I mean!
