At the moment, my current job is great, but from the looks of it, I will have to get my own apartment (no one wants to be roommates that has a small poodle as a pet) and I am wanting to find a job that pays at least 14 a hour to meet the requirements of making 3x what your rent is.

I am getting ready to apply for a job I have been waiting for spots to open up, and I was told from HR, they will start seeking people at beginning of Feb. In case i don't get that job, I was wondering if anyone knows a place that is looking for people?

My qualifications, Well, I am currently doing data entry (for UMB bank) I have experience with data entry, most of my experience comes from retail, unfortunately, I've done home remodeling work (I rather not do it again due to contractors out sourcing and getting screwed over from it) I am willing to learn, I have a clean driving record (I don't have CDL)

Essentially if you know of a position that is open, and doesn't require a college degree, let me know, and I will take a look/ apply for it.

If you don't mind doing plant/manufacturing work in 12 hour shifts, never more than 3 days in a row check out Plastic Packaging Technologies in KCK. They pay what you're wanting and don't require a degree.

Drove by a sign this morning announcing KDOT is hiring. I don't know much more than that, but might be worth a look.

I took a look at their opened positions, most of them are engineer technician, unfortunately.

Honeywell in KCMO is and will be hiring for the next year or two. Lots of different jobs but the postings come and go pretty quick, so you almost have to look every week.

Honeywell is one of the choices I would apply for when I receive my engineering degree, but that wont be for a while.

You don't need a degree for the production or even some of the engineering tech positions. But if you don't want to look and see what's available that's up to you.

I already checked, all of the position within the last 30 days that were posted want bachelors degree, or associates with 4 years experience. I have neither.

Remember, sometimes the jobs are only posted for a short period of time, a few days or week even. You almost need to check weekly to see if anything new has been added.

I don't remember what the starting is now since the new contract was accepted. Around 12+ maybe? Hours are extremely flexible, and yet not. Very hard work.

(Flexible meaning I can give all my shifts away if I want, or pick up an extra 40 hours if I want... Not flexible if I can't find someone willing to go with me on it.)

Anyone Worked at thermal fisher or CRL in lenexa? I applied for those, and received a call from CRL same day I was offered a position, and just curious how the job is, I applied for dock position.
