The router is running the latest Merlin firmware which is supported by ASUS. The wifi, both 2.4 and 5 ghz bands is amazingly strong and stable with it. The only reason for replacement is the Lan port 2 is no longer working which is a known failure on these. I need all 4 ports functional but if you don't, or plan on just using it for wifi, it's of no concern.
