I get confused as shit sometimes.

I offered a new thread, but the people I don't like probably just won't post.

Just want to point out that people who typically own nice things - nice cars, nice watches, etc do not talk about them because they do not feel it necessary. Bragging about material possessions is about as cool as playing dumb in school because being smart isn't popular. All those kids who decided to be popular and dumb in high school are now fat, have kids out of wedlock and no career. Just like those kids, you will have no nice cars, no nice watches and not a nice life if you keep fucking bragging about it. You're either going to get robbed or you're someday going to realize that putting your entire worth as a person into the possessions you own is about as fake and hollow as it gets and your life is meaningless and you kill yourself.

Rich people don't brag about their nice watches because EVERYTHING they own is nice. You brag about your watches and your car because they're relatively the only thing you own that is nice. You know what my most expensive and prized possession is? My violin. I can PLAY it, beautifully, people enjoy listening to me, I bring my Mom to tears. Can you do that shit with a fucking watch? No. Go waste your money on a hobby that actually requires talent and more than you and two other weirdos are interested in.

Stephanie what kind of Violin is it? I had to get rid of mine bc it got water damage and that blew ass. Make sure it is still in good condition.

It's hand crafted from KC Strings. It's in a great case on a bookshelf high off the floor in my room. It's also insured. And I play it almost daily, so yes, it's in good condition

Good deal. I know I was super mega pissed when mine got destroyed. Very cool that you have it with you down there. I would have imagined you leaving it here in KC when you went. Did you do any orchestra stuff @ Tulane?

It's also really soothing when you're drunk on everclear.

I have no belongings at my house in KC aside from year books and childhood memory shit in boxes in the basement. I live in NOLA year round.

I did not do orchestra at Tulane because our orchestra kinda blows. I did private lessons from ages 2-16 and I played at school starting in 5th grade with Symphonic Orchestra 8th-11th grade.

Maybe I should post pictures of my watches ? Honestly I have no idea what they're worth, so I wouldn't be bragging about their value.

I will have whatever the fuck I want. Who are you to tell me what I can and can't have? I live within my means, my car is nice, but it was relatively cheap. I'm not rich, never claimed to be. The first thread was to show people a company that insures watches and jewelry. This thread was to show people they were appraised for more than they anticipated. I don't like violins, I've never played one, but I don't go around telling you that it's a waste of time money, and that it's a worthless hobby. For one, putting down your hobby does nothing for me, and secondly, it's none of my business how you spend your time or what you spend your money on.

Caring about other people's lives and finances, to the point of bashing is childish and uncalled for.

I never brag anymore than the rest of you, it's just that if you don't like what other people like, you call them an idiot.

KCSR, how does it work?

Idiots.

I work just as hard as anyone else for my money, and I'm not different than most of you.

I hate to say this, but I truly feel that 90% of you have shitty lives, can barely buy what you need, much less what you want, and talk shit to make yourselves feel better.

I see a guy that just bought a twin-turbo Gallardo, I congratulate him. You see a guy that just bought a twin-turbo Gallardo, you key it, burn it, or call them a douche bag for being too rich.

Fuck all of the pieces of shit that think I was given shit on a silver platter. I've worked just as hard as you all.
there is nothing different. they are all bragging and showing their shit off. some of these d bags just need to get over themselves

KCSR, how does it work?

Idiots.
When did I tell you what you can and cannot have? I told you wasting your money on pointless fucking watches isn't getting you anywhere in life and is a shallow existence. If you want to have a shallow existence, go right ahead.

So the first thread was a company that doesn't exist in KC? I'm assuming? I typically don't read your shitty watch threads. That's like me posting about a fucking bicycle shop in NOLA that's bang up awesome that NO ONE CAN FUCKING GO TO BECAUSE ITS 1000 MILES AWAY. This thread was to show people that your shallow existence is now worth more than it previously was because an appraiser who we don't know told you the hunk of metal on your wrist is worth more than you anticipated.

"It's none of my business how you spend your time or what you spend your money on." DING DING DING! If you don't think my hobbies are any of your business why the FUCK do you think KCSR cares about yours?? At least my hobby involves something that other people who know NOTHING about violins can enjoy. Your hobby does not cater to anyone but yourself.

What you seem to be failing MISERABLY in this thread to grasp is that your hobby is based SOLELY on value - which you prove time and time again by discussing how expensive your hobby is.

My hobby, as well as all the photographers and artists and chefs and car enthusiasts on this site has a benefit beyond itself and is enjoyable for others. I SUCK at art, but I love looking at an artists paintings. I SUCK at photography, but I love looking at beautiful photographs. I'm not a great cook, but I LOVE great food and appreciate the hard time and preparation it took to make it. Do you get it? Your watch is JUST A WATCH. It only has ONE FUNCTION on this earth and that is to tell time, and you aren't even using it for that. If you want people to respect you and not make fun of you for posting about your hobby all the time you should choose a hobby that requires a skill set and increases your value as a human being while giving back joy to others. THAT is the point of a hobby. You are just collecting metal.

Agreed until here. There are some watches that are some of the most beautiful pieced of engineering and art on the planet. His are nice watches, but are not art.

I've got a baller ass 10 year old Fossil with a blue face that will shit all over what ever shit ass watches you got appraised.

1 thread - cool, we're happy for you

2 threads - ok, you're just excited, good for you

As many threads as you've made - you're a pompous jackwagon that's trying to flaunt something as simple as a watch.
