Default Looking for a smart light switch for a 3way light

I am looking for a smart switch that I can use with Amazon Alexa that is safe to use on what I believe is called a
"3 way switch" The room I want to light can be controlled by 2 switches, one in the garage, and one at the base of the basement stairs.

Im seeing mixed information on wether or not these can be used with a 3way switch. Any help would be greatful. Thank yall in advance.

I use GE smartswitches coupled with smartthings. Amazon Alexa works with SmartThings.

Seconded the GE switches. I have 2 3-way smart switches setup. You need a regular smart switch and then what they call an 'add-on' switch, which is about half the price, for the other one.

You could leave the switch on and use Philips Hue as well. That's what I do. I can do voice commands through Google Home to turn off certain lights or rooms.

That's great and all until someone turns the switch off.

So don't turn it off.

I like Hue but if I had a full house with family or multiple roommates I probably wouldn't like it as much.

I still use the Hue app, has anyone used Hue products through smart things app? I just got my ST hooked up. So far I've added 7 First Alert Smoke/Carbon detectors and two Samsung water leak sensors as well as added all my lights.

I only buy hue products that are significantly discounted. At retail price they are definitely overpriced. I've averaged about $25-30 spent per color bulb, $50 per light strip, $8/ea for basic white bulbs, etc.

LOL, yeah, good luck with that if you don't live alone and/or have friends/family over a lot.

I have color changing bulbs that can be turned on and off in SmartThings but they get managed by the zwave light switch so I know someone won't accidentally turn it off trying to turn on the hallway light with one of the 4 lights switches in the hallway.
