Default Black Friday 2017

It’s officially November, which means we are getting closer to the 2017 Holiday season. This means that folks will be scouring the various Black Friday deals which will be taking place. It seems that Target’s Black Friday ads have leaked, which show off some pretty impressive deals on products such as the Google Home Mini, Amazon Echo, and more.

Front and center on the advertisement, the Google Home Mini will be discounted to just $30 on Black Friday, but you will also get a $10 Target gift card with each purchase. That’s one helluva deal for the already cheap Home Mini, and will likely be one of the big ticket items this holiday season.
Here’s a list of some of the other great deals that Target will be offering:
  • Google Home Mini $30 w/ $10 Target GC
  • Google Chromecast – $25
  • Google Home – $79
  • Amazon Fire TV Stick – $24.99
  • GoPro HERO5 – $349.99 w/ $50 Target GC
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab A – $179.99 w/ $20 Target GC
  • Amazon Echo Dot – $29.99
  • Amazon Echo – $79.99
  • Amazon Echo Show – $179.99
  • Amazon Fire 7 Tablet – $29.99
  • Amazon Fire HD 10 Tablet – $99.99
These are some pretty great deals if you ask me, and some of these will definitely make for some great gifts for others, or yourself. But being able to get the Google Home Mini for just $30 is just far too tempting to pass up.
Let us know if you’ve found any other Black Friday 2017 deals and if you’ll be heading to your local Target to take advantage of these deals. If you want to check out the full flier for all of the deals, hit the link here.

The Amazon Fire 7 tablet in the AD sucks. App selection sucks, camera sucks and it’s slow

Best Buy already has been doing a pre black friday sale. I've picked up two hue light strips for $49 each, Smartthings hub for $49, Hue statyer kit with 4 bulbs for $60 (sold the bridge), waterpik for $35.

I'm in the market for a TV this season. But I can only buy it at bestbuy since I have $300 in giftcards and $300 in rewards certificates leftover. There's a 60" Sharp on sale right now for $549 that is tempting but I'm wondering if I should hold off and see?

I hope I can score at least a few Google Home Minis. Hope to see more Chromecast stuff on sale too.

I picked up a 55" LG 55UJ7700 for under $700 a few weeks back. Obviously the same set is available in larger sizes as well. It's UHD, with HDR. If you have Netflix, I highly recommend this set because it's capable of running Dolby Vision which is the best HDR content.

No thanks, been reading shit reviews about the UJ series. To be fair mainly in the 65-70" but it's not true 4k from what people are saying and lots of TVs in the bigger sizes are getting returned.

I passed on the Sharp TV. It's "only at bestbuy" so you know the quality is already lacking. Lots of reviews in the last week of TV randomly rebooting, etc.

I'm going to go to BestBuy right at 5pm on Thursday and just wing it and see what I can walk out with I guess. I'm really torn. I want 60-65" but the price difference is hundreds of dollars. Keep telling myself I should really just stick with a 55".

I think 55" for the price, is the sweet spot. I'm looking at TCL as I have heard good things about the P series.

Thing with 55" is I can get a good name brand for a good price. Anything decent in the 60"+ range at a good price will likely be Hisense, TCL, etc. The TCL TVs do look promising though.

Samsung was a couple hundred more expensive, and LG didn’t have very good reviews... lowest I saw TCL was $349.

I was debating between the 60" Sharp for $549 and the 65" Samsung for $749.

I went with the Sharp and added a 5 year protection plan. So far so good. It's randomly restarted twice though so hopefully it won't be an ongoing issue.

I had $610 in rewards/certificates so total cost out the door was like $98. I missed out on a bedroom TV though.
