Default Spruced up my appliance

Since I'm coming up on almost a year with the Fusion, I decided to give it a present. The mods consisted of a Ford Mondeo knock off grille (honeycomb instead of the slats), OEM Fusion Titanium lower grille (gloss black instead of flat black), Eibach Pro Kit lowering springs, new Ford OEM struts up front and shocks in the back, new Ford OEM strut bearings and top hats, GarageLine 20mm wheel spacers, and some vinyl over the blue Ford caps on the wheels. It's no Camaro or sports car, but I really like the difference it made and it just further enhances a car I really enjoy owning!

That looks MUCH better.

Did you have to get longer studs on your wheel hubs to facilitate the spacer?

Indeed I did. It came in the kit. The spacers themselves are hub and wheel centric so fitment was perfect. They're for the Focus ST but I believe there's some parts sharing going on with the Fusion as it all fits perfectly.

Be very careful with those.

I had a set of Hubcentric bolt on spacers on my lifted Jeep WJ. I torqued the hub -> spacer nuts down to 100 ft/lbs and used blue loctite on them. Two times, while checking the spacers, I found FINGER LOOSE nuts. Luckily I caught it before anything bad happened.

I will never in my life run bolt on spacers again; I personally consider them too dangerous to warrant.

Odd. I've had spacers in the past and never had that problem. I plan on checking up on them them fairly often since I do the tire rotations myself.

I'll knock on some for you, too .

It's not apples-to-apples; I was running 32" tires and the spacers were 1.25", so lots of rotating weight on pretty large spacers.

That said, my experience (which doesn't seem to be too uncommon, at least on Jeep board) has still made me VERY hesitant of them.

Maybe wrap the current chrome trim in a metallic gloss black 3M wrap.

Photobucket blocks linking your images on other websites unless you pay them a couple hundred dollars a year now. It's horse shit. Like Scooby said, create an account on IMGUR and save images there now. I say create an account as that way you still have access to old images you uploaded.

2017 Hyunda Elantra Sport. I've liked the car since it was announced and dealerships were offering them up with steep discounts this summer thanks to Hyundai incentives so I figured I'd take one for a spin. I loved it.

The Sport comes with quite a few changes over the regular Elantra. It has a completely different rear suspension (multi link vs torsion beam), different engine (1.6 liter turbo making 201hp on 87 octane), the option of a 6 speed manual or 7 speed dual clutch (I went the old fashioned route), bigger brakes, stiffened springs/dampers, a sportier interior, yada yada.

Correct, direct injection. It has a tiny turbo on it so power is there pretty much no matter when you floor it. Lag is virtually non-existent. It feels a lot faster than it is so it's a pretty fun driver.

It's a 6 speed manual and it is super smooth. The throws are a little long but nothing horrible. It's not quite as awesome as a Honda manual transmission but every single magazine review has praised it and said to get it over the optional dual clutch. I agree with them.
