my mobo: http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Int...155/P8H61M_LE/

Stock cooler though I was just hoping to overclock around "10%" and didn't know if that required an aftermarket one.

My case is an Antec Nine Hundred Two.

Hai guyz.

I built a PC/Mac Pro mATX build over the weekend and wanted to bench it some.
Dual booting Lion and Win7 Ultimate

i5-2500k @4.4Ghz @1.330vcore
AMD Radeon HD 6870 MSI Hawk
Gigabyte GA-Z68MX-UD2H-B3
Lian Li v354 case
Antec Kuhler 620 h20 cpu cooler
OCZ ModXStream 700w psu
Vertex 2 120GB

guess that's all the important stuff.

Anyway how long does the Heaven bench go I let it run for awhile I thought but it looked like it was just repeating itself..

The MSI Hawk has some really great cooling on the GPU, max temp I saw doing the Kombuster was 71C max
CPU after Prime95 for an hour was 60C-59C max

Here's my 3dMark11 OC'd my GPU to 1000 core and 1250 memory: P4912

"stable" should be quantified in terms of stress testing. IE as a benchmark for everyone to use you could say 24hrs Prime95 = stable. I've had systems that are stable for pretty much everything I do but won't stress test for more than a few hours.
I need to bench my HTPC, I bet it beats my gaming rig at this point.

I got my new rig and have been working on it for several days. I5 2500K water cooled with a single EVGA GTX 570 1.2GB. The video card was kind of picky while overclocking but it is stable now. The CPU has gone higher but doesn't help the scores and is currently at 4.41 GHz. Rage looks great at 2560 x 1600 on a Dell 30" Ultrasharp.

Good stuff FOACAD. I have that same card now. My old reference GTX 570 at the same exact clocks as the Classified 448 core (797 core speed) scored a P6108, pic above which is better reference since the Classified 448c come overclocked as stock ("superclocked" GTX 570s); I got a P59xx on the Classified at the stock 797 core speeds with my 4.2Ghz OC.

Might hold out for 685s. I can't decide. I might just return these two cards and get a GTX 680 to hold me off til then since they are about the same price and similar performance.

never had problems with any of my gigabyte boards and getting ram to run at advertised speeds. i don't use g.skill ram though. have you tested different ram in the mobo, or tested the ram in a different mobo? are you trying to run with XMP? have you enabled the hidden/advanced bios features? have you tried to manually tweak voltage to get it to run?

Ya I did everything I've had in my arsenal and even followed another guide that used gigabyte boards. Increased different voltages, PWM speeds, etc.. It just doesn't have enough power to power the ram at 2133mhz. Oh well. 1866mhz is fine with tighter timings for now. When I get the GTX 685 board I will probably get an ASUS board again. I will give them time to release BIOS updates that hopefully fix the issue. It is my fault for not reading it doesn't support this kit in 32GB configurations like the ASUS boards do :-/

I'm also having an F4 BSOD returning from sleep. Same issue I had with my previous X58-UD5 board. lol.

Played around a bit today just to crack 6k in 3DMark11. Upped the GPU just a touch and put the CPU to 4.4ghz up from 4.2ghz.

Not too bad for a gtx560.
