I just do it to keep you on your toes. It doesn't help that we have had similar hardware for the past few years now.

Bring it.

So I DL 3dmark11 from the majorgeeks link... it gets to the window where it is starting the installshield wizard and just goes away after that. the process just stops. i'm going to try a restart and if not try another link i guess...?

Also, can we get the list going again?

Not really relevant, but I don't want to make a separate thread.

PlugnPlay RAM? Cool.. but not worth it. Also.. I've done it in standby before. WHOOPS.

Will be doing my official benchmarks soon.

Can someone tell me what the deal is with "turbo boost" technology in the i5-2500k? The wordings sounds like it automatically jumps my processor from 3.3 to 3.7 when necessarily but that doesn't seem right.

My old cpu/mobo had a simple "overclock 10%" option, I would like to do that on this new setup but my Asus doesnt have that.

Someone help me overclock this bitch 10% and I'll gift you a 5-7 dollar game on Steam during this sale.
Thanks

edit: basically I get 25-30 FPS in RIFT with everything on full and I think its my processor holding me back not my 560 Ti. I'm shooting for a constant solid 40-50 FPS with my settings as is.

Turbo boost makes your multiplier 21 instead of 20 per core.

Essentially gives you 5% boost in speed.

Unless the new core series are different than my old one.
