I really thought those STi's were faster. Oh well.

A stock sti should've known better than to race a rwd car that has the hp advantage.

But at least your car sounded good when beating him.

I saw him looking over with the usual wtf look so I expected he'd do something. That didn't work out too well for him. At least he was cool about it.

I only took 2 of my STi's to the track and ran them on the 1/4 mile.
A 2004 and a 2005...both ran 12.8+ and 12.9+ respectively at 101mph and 103mph.
Both of them had NO muffler, just a pipe that replaced the muffler, which does nothing for power gains.

Yes, a high 12 second car that barely traps 100+mph on the 1/4 is slow AF. I agree there.
However, I have beaten those cars at the track like there is no tomorrow and NOTHING would happen to them; they would not even overheat after hours at the track.

The only thing I had to do was replace fluids, break fluid, clutch fluid and brake pads...they took the beating like a champ. I have had 5 or 6 of those STi's - same story in all of them.

TAILWAG checking in with his "LS1 stock" STi.

I seem to recall the posted mod list on the Zsmurf being a little shy of the reality too.

Lol
