I thought that was you, I give much respict running in front of that crowd. All in all it was a good night. Sometimes I think the sport is dead then all of a sudden they come out of the wood work. Female or not the cobalt gave that Camaro a good run.

I only seen you go down the track once but I felt the car had more in it than what I seen.

8.2 @ 93mph was the best I could get.

First two passes I was in the left lane and spun first and second. Don't normally spin second that bad either, so I decided to add a couple more psi thinking I'd need to run down whoever I raced. Ended up in the right lane and when I shifted to second it hooked hard and started to go then all of a sudden the RPMs just shot up and bounced off the limited without me going anywhere quickly.

Knew immediately that it was the clutch and had to let out and shifted to third just to get it to grab and drive down the track.

I knew it'd happen at some point. Oem clutch is only rated for upper 400tq and I'm supposed to be up over 550 on the amount of boost I was on. I'll have a new clutch, meth and new tires soon. Should be able to do a little better in the 1/8 next time but this is definitely a 1/4 or roll car. That 1/8 mile stuff I'm not a big fan of for my car. Fun to watch the big hp cars do it though.

I feel your pain with the clutch slipping, it's next on my list of things to do.

Meh, i just looked up a ZL1 and stock they get mid 7s @ 90 with good 60s.

I had a 2.1 60 each time and spinning ain't winning.

Like I said though, I know my car isn't good in the 1/8. On the highway I walk a lot of cars that are quicker than me in the 1/8.

Clutch, meth and new tires all soon.

Just tried a quick google and I'm seeing high 8s low 9s for "the fastests".

That isn't all or most or a majority. That is a handful.

Like I said, I know my 60' had a lot to do with my time and know my car is a back half car which is why my mph was 93 and why I'm around 120 in the 1/4.

My f-body went 8.7 stock with 2.73 gears.

Actually, it had a Flowmaster on it, so it was probably down on power from a stock muffler.

Your google skills suck. First thread that comes up under "stock f body 1/8th mile times"
Quote:
Stock LS1 f-bodies are 12 sec capable in stock form M6 with a good driver. Stock A4's ave ~13.4's in the 1/4. Stock I would guess ~8.4 @ 86 in the 1/8.
Quote:
When I was running 8.4's, i was running 13.2's in the 1/4 a shitty 60 ft.
Quote:
With the right driver, the cars can do low 8s and high 12s no prob in stock trim.
Quote:
I was running 8.4 & 13.08 w/ a auto and a 2.00 60 ft.
Quote:
theres plenty out there that can run 8.40s-8.50s 1/8 on a cold night stock.
Quote:
Ran 8.3 in 1/8 and 13.2 in 1/4
Quote:
My 02 Z28 A4 runs consistant 8.2's @ 86 mph with 1.8 60's. It has full exhaust and 3.73's. Everything else stock.

I wish I could get a 1.8 60' on these tires.

There were plenty of guys out there running 92-94mph getting low 7s.

I got my NT05's to hook a few times, but it then bogged it's ass off. My rear suspension is too stiff. Most of the time it just blew the tires off.

They hooked a lot better in Texas when they were newer. They are basically dead now.

I cut a 1.9 60' down there. I also wasn't spinning in 2nd at all. Up here I was spinning in 2nd for a ways. The one time they hooked in 2nd the clutch said fuck off.

I can't believe you were still on the stock clutch. That clutch has seen some abuse lol

Yes, it handled well over its supposed tq limit.

Very abused. Lol

Pretty nice setup will be going in it soon. Meth kit is also on its way.

It should of died on the radials but I must of got a special mt-82. I'm also running the rxt clutch which everyone says is bad because it will kill your mt-82. When it dies I will have a guy build one for me which should be good enough for what I'm going to do with it.
