Bourbon County is killer!

Also heard that Punishment was just brutally hot. Tipsy's in Mission has a few left, not sure I want to spend money on something I might not enjoy drinking.

Went up to Rock and Run in Liberty earlier tonight. Their Liberty^2 was ok, a decent sessionable pilsner. The cranberry blonde was meh, but the Mud and Muck (coffee oatmeal stout) was fantastic. Pizza was good too.

Drinking the Prairie Ale, its not a bad saison. A little bland, but pretty smooth for over 8%

Not a big fan. Never liked most IPA's I've tried.. which I knew going into this. Just got it for the name.

Haven't cracked this open yet

Top of the bottle broke in the shipping so the little cork / plastic plug is still in there, FML.

Was curious to try a sour beer, so I picked up some bell's oarsman ale. Really like it, though it isn't as sour as I expected.
Edit: Actually, despite my first impressions, the bottle seemed to get a little more sour with every drink.

What're some other sour beers that are fairly easy to find?

Also grabbed some more schlafly pumkin ale since the hyvee I was in still had some. Dated 10/17- hope it's still as good as it was in october!

I believe that schlafly's beers have the bottled on date on them. And I think the rule of thumb is that they are good for 4 months after that. So, it should definitely be fine. As for sours, if you can get to Martin city, go try the Odell's Friek. I would recommend Duchess De Bourgogne as its pretty easy to find and it's a good beer. Boulevard will have love child out in May, grab some of that!

New Belgium usually has a couple sours out at a time. Check out their Lips of Faith series.

The Schlafly pumpkin ale has a higher alcohol content, so it should be good for like a year.

that has a little heat to it, I get it often! I tried their mac and cheese balls tonight, they were kinda hard to eat, but super tasty.

I was lucky enough to snag multiple bottles of friek this year
