Post 15'challenger R/T vs dark grey 370.

Looking to get some more runs in with whoever this was. Did a pull from Sante Fe onto 35 northbound about 3 days ago. No sport mode and crappy paddle shifting on my part lead to him pulling me as soon as he shifted into 6th moving at about 110. If you are on here I'd like to get some reruns it seemed like a close match. Dark grey newer 370 with tinted windows. I have seen you several times around Sante Fe. A dig run would be nice aswell

lol, how do you know he shifted into 6th at 110? that's rather low, but maybe not, if you're admittedly crappy at driving an auto in a straight line.

I used to drive sticks all the time, the car comes with the paddles included with the super track pack, so I usually know rpm ranges and we started the roll at about 60, he down shifted twice on the second run leading me to think he launched with me in 4th gear, at that point I heard him shift up twice before we let off. Anything lower than 4th would have kicked his car and I would have seen it. Paddles are retarded but so is the difficulty level of finding a 6 speed challenger with the package I wanted.

Maybe you should research 370Z shifting points, because you sound like a complete idiot.

Thanks for the input tool, so reading further into it. I suppose he could have been in 3rd, but that would have made his 5th gear really long because at 110 I heard him shifting and he was hardly pulling at all at that point, he had already made the car length he needed to let off. I just couldn't imagine not hearing his car if he was in 3rd because that would put him at least in 5k rpm range and his peak power band according to forums is 7k. Idk, this got a bit off topic anyways, just a long shot this guy was on the forums.

How about:

"I have no clue what gear he was in, but he was pulling me, and I suck at driving an automatic but will blame it on my paddle shifters. Is this guy here on the forums? I want to try again."

Why would anyone racing be in 6th gear at 110 mph? Lol

I think those Challengers are 8 speeds.. So, 6th in his car is probably 110.

If he hasn't had multiple cars, he may not know any better.

I'm sure the 370z was probably in 2'nd when you started..

I can't keep up with those dang 370Zs, so sounds like your challenger would be a good match, I'm down for some rolls and digs.

God I'm itching to come out and play soon. I wonder what's going to give first, the 10-bolt or the 4l60

You swapped a 4l60 and 10 bolt into the AE86?

Traded the Vette for a new truck, sold the ae86 to someone more import oriented and snagged a cheap LS1 B4C.

Have to keep everyone on their toes and make sure I get nothing accomplished
