Default 2 local guys on Street Outlaws tonight

It was pretty cool to see some locals on the show tonight.

First was Ryan Mitchell from KCK with an '87 Firebird, big block Chevy, twin 80mm turbos and a Powerglide. He lost to Derek.

Second was Ryan Riggs from KCMO with a '67 Nova SS, known as the "Super Nova" because it has Superman painted down the side. 434 cubic inch small block with nitrous. He said he was #1 on the KC list (or at least was at the time of filming). He lost to Monza.

IMHO it's pretty brave to put yourself and your car on TV, and to go race those Oklahoma guys on their home turf. Are they on KCSR? Where is the "real" local list kept, and who else is on it?

Sounds like the OKC guys were in town this weekend. Anyone know how it went?

Got a buddy that knows the guy with the Firebird. It runs 8s in the 1/4. That I know.

Just wait until last weekends races are shown during their next season.

Wouldn't be surprised if they film another episode and don't show the footage from this last weekend.

It will probably be another year before they air it. If they ever air it.

The people involved asked kindly that details aren't talked about due to spreading across the internet like wildfire (or more than they have)

Well that is a bummer. But it seems safe to infer things did not go well for the OKC boys.

Decent episode and pretty cool to see KC guys on there.

Definitely hope the episode they filmed last week makes it on the air. I agree though, people need to stop fucking talking about it. I understand why it spread so fast though. It will when things that havnt happened all of a sudden happen.

My guess is they will come through KC again at some point. Probably will be even tighter on the knowledge of it happening next time too. Was definitely a neat thing to watch though. I got out there late and only saw the last couple races.

So what did they edit out? I saw Shawns car in the background after he said he wished he brought his car. Lol.

Idk.. the pro mods trying to street race was kinda bs. They shouldn't have been allowed.. but then again all the 405 are all track cars.

Skinnies' race was awesome.

I had no problem with the pro mod / outlaw cars. It's about putting the power down regardless and the results of those races prove that.

I also laughed at the "waste" comment.

Who as the guy who kept calling Chuck out? Overall I thought things were close, but I was pretty sure I saw the murder nova being loaded up towards the end of the episode too. Wish some of those races both cars would have gone. Overall I feel like it was a cheap win for KC but something worthy of a rematch at least. Still cool to see some KC action!

Jason Rank, drives a pretty badass mustang. Would have been a great race but Chuck didn't want any.

Listen to this podcast. Wayyyyy more respect for these two after listening to this. They talk about pretty much everything, including the show making Shawn say that their cars weren't there.

https://soundcloud.com/chiefandshawn...hawn-episode-3

Chuck should have raced Rank, elko should have raced fr8train or someone else and the pro mods should have raced monza, chief or nova. Period.

However like they talk about in the podcast it doesn't benefit them to do it that way. Chuck loses to Rank then he's punked hard, he loses to a pro mod and every says well that's a given, he beats it by the pro mod fucking up then he gets to talk a lot of shit.

Another interesting thing is that there are some way better cars in kc that didn't get a chance to run on the show. Yet these two pro mods that like next to no one knew were out there. Guessing the show brought them out.

Rain shortened things too and really pissed boosted off that it was sprinkling when they ran and skinnies hooked and went.

I saw in one scene they had the street shut down with a "ROAD CLOSED" sign and some cones. Was that really setup? Who put that there?

If this is illegal racing how can it be on freaking TV?

Uhhhhh......

They close down city streets to film the show. It is street racing on closed streets. Not illegal street racing.

They do that away from the cameras

Do they always shut down the street?

I just assumed it was illegal what they were doing. So they might get permits and shiz for this.

It's always been permitted when they race, like movie stunts. Some testing may still be illegal though. Read the disclaimer they added last year:
