Default Fuse keeps popping

I pulled the upper plenum off a vehicle and am now popping the engine cont fuse. I had pulled the upper plenum the other week, the fuse had popped, I replaced it and all good. In that aspect at least. I had what seemed to be a large vacuum leak as the car would start but die within seconds. So I went ahead and pulled it again. Now the car starts and runs but the fuse will not stop popping. I did swap out a few pigtails that were brittle. I have disconnected them and turned the car to the acc position and still pops the fuse.

Any suggestions on how to find the issue? I turned my multi on its lowest ohm setting and tried to get a reading out of the engine harness connectors associated with this fuse but had no luck. I had read of a guy in a similar situation and he used a test light on the fuse contact points and started disconnecting connectors until the light turned off? Anyone know of this tech? How does it work?

Thanks

First you need to find out what the fuse powers.
Once you figure that, start tracing. My guess is you pinched a harness putting the intake back on.

thanks. I have put this project on the side burner, as work has kept me very busy. I am starting to think I applied too much solder when i rejoined a broken pig tail. i will post up when i find the culprit and how/ what all test were conducted in find the problem as electrical issue can plague some vehicles.
