Also, I'm thinking. If you want to get call outs. I'll setup a list of interest.

Say you post up what you have and name/car.

So say we'll use JW as an example:

List of interested racers:

JWfish SN95 cobra.
VaporSRT13 13 SRT Jeep GC

Then it may help with others find people to get call outs or be called out.

I won't be okc fast but I am camming my 99 gtp soon followed up with ported heads. Hoping for low 13s around 300hp. The rocker route with methanol wasn't enough.

I dont think you guys realize why the okc guys hook on the street. Its called a davis tc box...aka the profiler. With all its goodies its about 10 grand to buy stand alone. Now to give you an idea what chiefs nova has done just the last week or so. He ran 4.4xs in the 1/8th mile at 170ish mph on a small radial 275(?) I think at the last drag race.
It takes a ton of money to run 4.40s and not break regularly.
Believe me i have more parts in boxes that could buy a new showroom floor car that makes me cringe. I cant even admit to myself its just rediculous to attempt such a thing. For what those guys run. Your gonna need somebody like larsons nova and some of the other small tired boys like brantner to get involved. If kc has any chance to run on a street unprepped. Your gonna need the best around to make it happen.

I don't think anyone that has posted in this thread thinks they have 1500-2k HP. Because before you need the Davis TC, you would need around that range of HP if you even wanted to compete with OKC. The shop that just worked on Daddy Daves new car has people/cars that make that much HP. They are local, and they want a crack at the list.

This thread will be a KCSR list. For the member on here that want to be involved in something fun. As stated, there are a few groups on FB that have already been going out and racing. But not very many of the locals that street race are even on here, or don't post much anymore. The faster the group is, the more low key and private the racing is kept.

No ya dont need 1500hp to need a tc unit. Any small tired fast car could use one. Id say 7-800hp and up is where it will make a difference on a small tired car. I know i intend to run one on my dart with 26 8.5s and 275s. Then again im after big power and low ets but no street passes for me. I just find the idea interesting topic

I think you misunderstood what I was getting at. I understand thatTC can be useful on sub 1K HP cars, small tires even more so. But to beat the big tire OKC cars on the street it will take more than 7-800hp TC or not.

The cars running 4.teens and faster at the track are just ridiculous. And also well beyond 7-8-9-1Khp range.
