Default any home distillers here?

I recently found out moonshine is legal (obviously some stipulations) to distill for personal use. I am not a big drinker by any means. Don't get me wrong I am a beer snob lol. I have been considering making my own. I would probably make the "apple pie" version. Anyone do this or even brew beer? Feel free to show off your set ups. Oh I am in Missouri and know absolutely nothing about this aspect of Kansas laws.

Huh someone just told me to make moonshine is still federally illegal and it doesn't matter if Missouri doesn't care. I'll have to look more into this.

I emailed the ATF last year to ask just this. They said it was illegal to distill for self use.

It doesn't make sense. Why would Missouri make it legal at the state level while it is still federally illegal. I mean why waste their time even discussing let alone change laws regarding it.

Yeah, I guess that is a similar scenario.
