Default FOR SALE - custom Cowtown "sleeper" shell for a Ford truck

UPDATE: I'M OFFICIALLY PUTTING THIS UP FOR SALE NOW

Asking/Offering Price: $450 obo
Email Address/Phone Number (optional): You can PM me if you're interested or post a comment in this thread
Location: Look to your left
Name: Cowtown Sleeper
Item Description: It's a cab "add-on" which replaces your back glass, and you can access it via the door on the back or through the inside of the truck from where the back glass used to be. Can be used as a bed with the addition of a small mattress (hence the name "sleeper cab"), or as additional storage. You can also contact the manufacturer and purchase the additional hardware to put additional seating back there...or you can use it like I did for extra interior storage space. All of the "shelf panels" are removeable for a flexible storage area.

This shell came with the truck when I bought it. Took me awhile to figure out who made it, but apparently it's apparently built by a custom fiberglassing company, Cowtown Sleepers and Pickup Covers (based out of Fort Worth, TX, http://www.cowtownsleepers.com/ ). Apparently they're called "sleepers".

This particular model is a "walk-in" Roadrunner model. Each sleeper made is custom-built to the purchaser's specifications (# of windows, door/no door, etc.) I emailed Cowtown to "price" what this model would cost if ordered "new", and with all options, it retails for $2040.00. I'm not expecting to fetch anywhere close to $2000 for this thing, but I am unable to keep it.

Although it's called a "sleeper", it can be used for storage, as all of those top panels (which can support the weight of a person and a thin mattress) are removable and can be used as storage space. The space underneath the panels are empty. The sleeper is sealed and installation requires the removal of your truck's rear window. Included with the sleeper is an "accordian" boot that seals the truck cab and the sleeper together.

I was debating whether to keep it or not for the "extra storage space"; however, I purchased this truck to haul a fifth wheel horse trailer, and this "sleeper shell" would interfere with the fifth wheel trailer's gooseneck when/if sharp turns were made with truck and trailer.

Honestly, I know nothing about Ford trucks and cab/bed similarities or differences, but the truck it's currently on is a 1999 Ford F-250.

I thought I'd post it on here to see if there was any interest on here. If you think you want it or want to look at it, PM an offer and we can discuss it in private. I still have it on my truck, and if you want to see how is in-person "as installed", you're more than welcome to. I've included some photos of the truck with sleeper. These were photos taken by the dealership that I bought it from...

BUMP. After 5 years of having this cab on my truck, I'm finally taking it off to have a regular back glass installed and putting in a locking toolbox in the bed, so I'm finally putting this up for sale. The only thing it really needs is a fresh coat of paint, as some of the clearcoat is peeling off. It's still on my truck, but I'll be pulling it off next week before Thursday when I have an appointment for getting the back glass installed. Asking $450 obo.
