Default Rust on Rotors

I had a set of rotors that were freshly turned that sat around and have some surface rust. I will be putting them on this weekend along with new brake pads, but I am afraid the Rust on the rotors will hurt the brand new brake pads.

Any ideas?

Yep it's normal. If you are really worried hit it with some 80 grit sandpaper.
