Did you ever find a fix for the fueling issue?

I don't understand this. She knew you're passionate about cars and it comes with the territory..... unless of course a hobby like this is putting financial strain on the family.

I overstepped my boundaries on the time I was spending on the forester, and the money. There is being passionate and then there's me. I obsess and it's not healthy to obsess over every imperfection like I do...so I've now got a perfect car that can help me change my perspective to get back to the mentality that I had when I owned the G35. I didn't modify a thing on that car...it wasn't very fast, had no torque, but it was gorgeous, had all the gadgets and I was content for 3 years owning it. I'm going to work on getting back to that state of mind.

I see. I too use to really obsess about power, dings, scratches, impressing people, doing mods just for the sake of doing them, etc. I gave all that up with my prior G35 too LOL I knew it wasn't fast, but it was fun to drive and tinker with while maintaining nice daily driveability and looks. My WRX is in the same boat. I know that a new automatic V6 Accord would probably walk it from 60mph and it's a better built car, but I don't care.

It's MUCH easier to like/love a car when you don't care about what all think, or trying to keep up with the "group", or that it might have a little ding, scratch, etc. It's not a show car, it's a DD. You can still drive a very clean, immaculate car without having to constantly slave over keeping it clean. I was my cars once every week or so, polish/wax once a year, vaccum out every other month, wipe down the engine bay every other month, and dust fairly often. My friend's and family still give me crap for how clean my cars are. You might disagree Have fun with the car though. Whites a solid, upscale looking choice.

I tried to do that with my G37, since February I have added a lot of upgrades, however all have been OEM minus the springs so I've had zero issues. I now have a car that I am content with for a long time, until I decide to get an S4 or something in the future. I'm with you on the whole creature comforts and having a decently quick car that you don't have to mess with daily.

I'm doing this again. I've had enough vehicles in between that have calmed me down on my pursuit of perfection so I think I can handle this one.

Well I got pretty lucky on this one being low mileage. 57k presently. That being said it needs some restoration with regards to dents , some trim pieces, interior bits, little things like that and then there's some age related maintenance things the past owner neglected thinking mileage was the only concern. With those addressed I plan on hitting the aesthetics with a rear spoiler, tint, good detail, wheels and tires and then I'll address suspension and probably call it a day. Power wise I'm good right now with stock. It's quite a bit faster than my '18 and a hell of a lot more fun to drive being a 5MT

Yeah but the SG chassis is really a wagon in my mind. Chassis of the impreza in a wagon body.
