My heart goes out to the family and friends of the lost loved ones and Joel. I didn't know E or Lauren but I know Joel and he is definitely a good guy. Joel did a lot of the work to my car and always goes the extra mile when he's working on it. His work is a reflection of the type of person that he is. Heal up soon bro!

It truly is a sad situation. Everyone is still fazed that it happened so close to home.

My prayers go out to Lauren, E and their family.

Wow this sucks. Joel and lauren are great people, i really hope he pulls through strong. I've known E for many years since he was in high school. This is hard to stomach, i hate hearing stories like these. RIP

i heard about this on the news this morning, sad story... They said they thought there was an oil slick or sand on the road that caused it... sad to hear about people dying in such a ridiculous way, I'm sure they were being smart and safe but somehow they still paid a huge price... that is why no matter how badly I want a bike, I'll probably never get one, you can be the safest most capable rider, and still get seriously fucked up or die for reasons outside of your control.

maybe I missed it when I skimmed through but have we gotten any solid facts about what caused the wreck?

Sad to hear.

I didn't know E all that well, but he seemed like a pretty cool cat the few times I hung out with him. RIP to E and Lauren.

I wish Joel a speedy recovery, and hope he can make it through the mental anguish as well. That has to be some hard stuff to deal with.

I just got back from visiting Joel in the hospital. He is very upset for obvious reasons.

I encourage all of you to go visit him the next few days. He's gonna smiling faces around him. He's at North Kansas City hospital in the icu.

Heal up quick buddy.

Tragedy, particularly if Lauren was on the back of the bike. I'm definitely not saying the rider did anything wrong, just has to be a lot to deal with knowing that he was driving the bike.

RIP, sympathies to all involved.
