No surprise on the wheels, that's about normal for forgestar. They can take forever.

Giving them to Nick as a thank you for everything he's done for the build.

No joke, that seems to be a very common issue that I've found. I bought them knowing I had plenty of time (I still have three months before I see the car), but it was principle and annoyance of the false updates that led me to the dispute. Now, I got such a wild deal for 18x10, 19x12 forged wheels that it's just stupid.

Also anticipating seeing how they look against the silver.

Out of curiosity, why didn't you go with a flat bottomed steering wheel?

They're a lot more money than I wanted to spend. The little bits and pieces have slowly totaled up to being a lot more things than I initially expected modding, so I've been restraining myself on the $$ going into them.

3 months before you can even see it. While all this work is being done to transform it. I bet the excitement grows!? Hopefully you get to put a lot of miles on it

Haha man you have no idea. I had initially intended on finding a car at this point of the deployment...it's rough waiting, but also exciting and I think has helped the time go by.

Pics should be up tomorrow of the F14s!

God Damn that wheel color looks good - I didn't know about "on Silver" - but shit, it's actually killer looking, bet it's going to flash nicely in the sunshine and show that deep bronze.

This car turned out fantastic.

Looks very nice?

I've never ran those tires before. Will they handle the power you are putting down?

Thank you. Fortunately I've now had two toyota trucks that I've done test runs of matte bronze on, so I had a bit of a hint that I'd personally like it at a minimum

Nick didn't have any complaints via text but he may be able to chime in more here. Either way they're a better tire for my use of the car than more expensive tires that'll give me more hook down low at the expense of not lasting me long enough for the road trip I'm doing with it in July.

Yesterday was a good day, getting the car in the shop based on the day was a challenge, but it was Chris's birthday so my gift was getting it put together. As I told him the wheels are pretty unique in finish almost an antiqued bronze finish which is really cool. Mount and balance went off without a hitch, but I was a little worried having dealt with Scooby24's debacle.

I finally got a chance to actually drive the car since in my possession. I can honestly say that it is the best driving modded c6z I have ever driven. I think that right combination of parts and my over analyzation helped pull this one off. I was able to take it on the highway and lug the motor in 6th gear at 55mph and it just motored along. I will say sub 1400rpm caused a little surging, but that is clearly to be expected. I also was able to do a highway pull in Mexico and was like a little kid. It is just nuts, 2nd gear through the top of 4th and it just freight trained. Cannot wait for Chris to experience this, its quite the rush.

Overall I am extremely pleased with the outcome.

looks good; I'm sure the pictures don't do the color combo justice. It's interesting, but not in a bad way. The wheels alone look fucking great.

You almost can't tell they are bronze in the sunlight. Not sure if that is a good thing or bad thing. I was expecting them to be much brighter.

It may partially be pics, Nick and I are both just iPhone camera guys. I may have a 'real' shoot done when I'm back. I expect them to look like the wheels on my 4Runner in bright light.

I really didn't want anything that looks like it'd belong on a STI, so my goal was definitely achieved.

Negative. Going to school currently in SC and working for a railroad contractor. Enjoying the coastal life once again.

Got the majority of the interior pieces (and 2008 shifter) in.

I am waiting on a custom console lid that will have a suede top, silver sides (to match the sides of the seats), and blue stitching to tie all the new suede and blue stitched stuff together.

This all started because I bought a used steering wheel for what I thought was a steal. Ended up deciding it wasn't in good enough shape, bought a new one, and then the shift knob/boot, e-brake/boot, and pending console lid.

That will look good.

Best part of driving a shitbox is I swapped all of my interior out and it only cost me $120 and an afternoon of shitty dash swapping.
