Beautiful truck. Only thing I'd consider is newer style wheels (even fatory rally's would look amazing).

My mom has always wanted that identical truck, I know she's jealous.

Love it. Wish the prices weren't crazy right now or else I would love to have one. Hope you made out good on it... they are tough to find that clean and simple

I have been looking off and on for 4 years now. It was crazy that a buddy of mine in Texas had a friend selling one exactly like I had been looking for. I managed a pretty decent deal. I've already had 2 people offer to pay me 50% more than I paid for it and I don't even have it back in Kansas yet.

A little update. I fixed the damage caused by the transport and a little boo boo on the rear bed side. Before it was all said and done, all of the white was re-shot and upper and lower trim reinstalled with metal clips instead of the cheapo Chinese plastic clips. I swapped out the white dash pad for a black one, installed a modern stereo, walnut wheel and converted back to a column shifter. I also installed a set of 2" lowering shackles to take a bit of the rack out. I am working on wheels. I am going with 18x9's or 18x9.5's all around with a nice fat tire.

Wow that thing looks great! I was just driving my brothers 72' C10 over the weekend. It's very similar to yours but has the white stripe below the bottom chrome molding instead of down the middle. Same colors though...

No new updates. I've been weighing my options of tackling the drive line, suspension, brakes, exterior first. After pricing out everything, I am going to tackle the suspension, brakes and a bit of the drive line first.

I am going to go through the front suspension and replace all of the steering components, ball joints, shafts etc... I am going to put a set of ECE 2.5 drop spindles and 2 in drop springs up front. I am going to go through the front brakes too. Possibly thinking about a Wilwood kit up front. We'll see.

For the rear, I am going to swap rear ends completely. The truck is a factory optioned leaf truck. No bueno. I am going to convert it over to truck arms and coil springs. Going to lower the rear 6". Most likely going with a disc conversion in the rear, maybe Wilwood if I do the front.

Going to swap in a 700R4 that we have in the shop. Couple that with a 3.73 in the rear end and it will be a nice cruiser.

For wheels, I am thinking Intro Pentias. 20x8.5 up front, 20x10 in rear. Should be a nice upgrade from the 90's Centerlines I am running now.

Here is a picture of a guy who has a similar drop and wheels.

Or Salt Flats....

Salt flats are one of my favorite wheels ever. Not sure about them on the white/red though.

A quick shop of the two set of wheels on the truck. I need to find a side view picture...

A little better view. The center of the wheel is a grey.

Not really feeling the salt flats on yours. Just doesn't seem to pop.

Have you thought about a torque thrust style?

Those look like the wheels on one of my friends 69 GMC. Wish I could find a truck like yours for a reasonable price. Unfortunately the ones I come across are either in good shape and they want as much for it as a new truck. Or they're scrap metal and would cost as much as a new truck to fix up.

So my wife is trying to veto Salt Flats. She wants something more retro looking. After doing some digging, the Torque Thrusts are growing on me as is maybe going to an 18" all around. Gives a little more tire.

20" American Racing Torque Thrusts...

I have, and I like them. I originally wanted to do a wheel that is not as prevalent. But after talking with my wife last night, the torque thrusts are growing on me.

Thanks! Yeah, the prices are creeping up. SWB fleet trucks are getting harder and harder to find.

Small world. My wife's grandfather works at crown in Paola. That is how I managed the spot in front of their office next to the fire truck.

I would stick with something chrome or polished, to compliment the bumpers and all that nice looking trim.

But hey, I'm old and I like shiny shit.
