![]() I recently snagged a 2004 Vue as stated in the title. It's got a bunch of miles (roughly 220k) but it was well maintained and i got it cheap as fuggg. At cruising rpms from 1500-2000 i hear a weird grinding from what i think is the transfer case (but i really don't even know what im talking about). Is it possible that the computer that controls the AWD glitches out or something? I can feel the cars power get distributed through several different wheels until i give it a little more throttle. When it hits over 2k rpms it stops. WTF is going on with it? Can i just reflash the computer or something? How much is this gunna cost me?
Any and all help is appreciated. I'm not experienced with diagnosing/working on vehicles at all really, but i can read a chilton's manual and turn a wrench. ![]() Thanks fellas.
