The Flash Headlines Videos
THE FLASH Will Weave Kid Flash, Killer Frost And Gypsy Story Arcs Into Remaining Season 3 Episodes

With Savitar trapped in the Speed Force, is Iris truly safe? While that plot thread continues to run its course, expect development on Gypsy & Vibe's relationship, Kid Flash and Killer Frost as well.

Savitar was seemingly defeated in The Flash season 2's midseason finale but a glimpse of the future revealed that Iris would die by Savitar's hand. Armed with that knowledge Barry and his allies will be frantically searching for ways to prepare for an inevitable second round with the God of Speed. “Now that Barry has gotten a glimpse of the future he will be trying to do whatever it takes to save her,” according to Flash co-showrunner Aaron Helbing. He added, “Everybody will play a huge part in that, because Iris is part of the team.

Does that also include Tom Felton's Julian Albert aka Dr. Alchemy? “He feels culpable, and wants to make amends," says Helbing. But it seems that Barry's jaunt to the future will be driving him bonkers as he can't figure out how Savitar could break free of the Speed Force. Said Helbing, “That will be an itch that Barry can’t scratch. How is this possible?'”

As for the rest of Team Flash, the co-showrunner adds that Gypsy (played by the recently cast Jessica Camacho of Sleepy Hollow) will be playing an important adversarial role in Cisco's budding superhero career, Caitlin will continue to wrestle with her Killer Frost alter ego and Wally West will continue to fly off the handle and cause trouble as Kid Flash.

THE FLASH Villain Black Flash Will Make His Presence Felt In The DC TV Universe In A Big Way This Year

First teased in the season two finale of The Flash, it has been confirmed that The Black Flash is coming to The CW series, but it doesn't sound like it will be Teddy Sears wearing the speedster's suit!

Season three of The Flash has already introduced us to Savitar, Kid-Flash, and Jesse Quick, but at least one more speedster is on the way this year! However, based on comments from showrunner Andrew Kreisberg, that's not the only series the Grim Reaper of the DC TV Universe will make his presence felt in. Could it be that he's coming for the recently resurrected Reverse-Flash in Legends of Tomorrow?

"I will say that you might be seeing him on multiple shows," he teased at the Television Critics' Association's Winter Press Tour today. It was at the end of season two that we saw Earth-2's Hunter Zolomon/Zoom transformed into The Black Flash, but Teddy Sears may not be the one who plays him!

That's because the actor has landed a role on 24: Legacy, and it sounds like the DC TV Universe is going to need a lot of the villain. "He’s a classic character. We have storylines on multiple shows that fit having him around. There’s something so scary about him, something even scarier than when he was just the man, because now it’s now he is the Grim Reaper, he is the devil. How do you stop the devil? So it presents an interesting challenge for the heroes of the respective shows in which he appears."

Robbie Amell Confirmed To Return As Ronnie Raymond In THE FLASH Season 3

While we've met his Earth-2 doppelganger, Robbie Amell has been absent from The Flash since the season two premiere, but it has now been confirmed that he'll return. However, which version will it be?

Ronnie Raymond is returning to The Flash, but not necessarily the one who helped close the Singularity back in the season two premiere. Entertainment Weekly reports that Robbie Amell has signed up to reprise the role, but beyond knowing that he'll show up in a winter episode, they don't offer any more specifics. Since the character's death, we've met his Earth-2 doppelganger in the form of Deathstorm.

Zoom took him out, so he won't be returning but theories that the original Ronnie somehow survived that explosion which sealed the breach between worlds have been doing the rounds for ages now.

Given the vulnerable mental state of Caitlin Snow, as she transforms into Killer Frost, chances are Ronnie will just show up as a hallucination, so it may be too soon to start getting excited about this news. With any luck, The CW will reveal some details soon, so let us know your theories below.

Prepare For A Rumble In The Jungle With This Sweet New Poster For THE FLASH: "Attack On Gorilla City"

Next week, get ready for one of The Flash's wildest adventures yet when the team heads to Earth-2 to face Gorilla Grodd! The CW has released a new poster for the two-episode event, so come take a look!

Next week's episode of The Flash might be one of the show's most ambitious yet, as it takes the team (Barry, Cisco, Caitlin, & Julian) to Gorilla City where they'll find themselves face-to-face with Grodd and his Gorilla brethren. While the synopsis does tease that Grodd may actually be seeking Barry's help in stopping a devastating attack on Earth-1, you never know when the tides can turn and/or his true motives, especially considering their past encounters.

The CW has released a brand new poster for the upcoming two-part special event featuring the Scarlet Speedster front-and-center as he makes his way into Gorilla City. Check it out below:

"Attack on Gorilla City" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)

BARRY AND TEAM TRAVEL TO GORILLA CITY AND FACE GRODD - When Jesse Quick (guest star Violett Beane) informs the team that her father (Tom Cavanagh) has been abducted, Barry (Grant Gustin), Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker), Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Julian (Tom Felton) voyage to Earth-2 on a rescue mission to save Harry from Gorilla City. As they trek through the forest, Barry and the team are immediately captured and brought to Grodd (voiced by David Sobolov). Grodd tells them he needs their help to stop Solovar (voiced by Keith David), the leader of Gorilla City, as Solovar wants to invade Earth-1. Meanwhile, back on Earth-1, Jesse and Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale) hit the streets to stop a metahuman that can control gravity, with H.R. and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) guiding them from S.T.A.R. Labs. Dermott Downs directed the episode with story by Andrew Kresiberg and teleplay by Aaron Helbing & David Kob (#313). Original airdate 2/21/2017.

New Photos From THE FLASH Offer A Fresh Look At Grodd And The Villainous Solovar

The CW has released a new batch of stills from the next episode of The Flash, and as well as offering up a new look at Gorilla Grodd, we also get to see the small screen debut of the villainous Solovar!

Six more photos from The Flash have found their way online today, and they offer up a look at some of the upcoming two-parter's CG heavy moments. As you might expect from an episode titled "Attack on Gorilla City," we get to see lots of Grodd here, but also making his debut is Solovar, the villain who the Scarlet Speedster's enemy will look for help in taking down.

This instalment of The Flash airs next Tuesday, with the second part (which sees the gorillas invading Central City) set to air the following week in "Attack on Central City." What do you guys think of these images? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section down below.

THE FLASH Season 4 Won't Feature Yet Another Speedster As The Show's Big Bad

In news likely to come as a relief to those of you sick of seeing The Fastest Man Alive battling fellow speedsters in The Flash, it's been confirmed that big changes are coming to season four...

This weekend, a PaleyFest panel took place for the DC TV shows currently airing on The CW, and some interesting details were revealed (via TV Line) about what's to come in The Flash. Since show launched, the big bad of each season has been a speedster and while we're only in its third year, many fans have said that we didn't need to see someone like "Speed God" Savitar after Reverse-Flash and Zoom.

"Next season we’re not going to have a speedster," executive producer Andrew Kreisberg revealed when he was asked if yet another of those will be battling Barry when the show's fourth season airs.

The Flash has utilised so many DC Comics villains, it's hard to imagine who could take the place of a speedster, but going back to Savitar, Kreisberg shed some more light on what's to come with him. "We know who he is under there, and we’ve been planning this for a while," he confirmed, promising they have a plan for Savitar. Meanwhile, more details will be revealed in the eighteenth episode introducing Abra Kadabra as that character knows who the Speed God is beneath that metallic mask.

More hints should also follow in episode nineteen - titled "The Once and Future Flash" as the EP added that the Scarlet Speedster will be taking a trip into the future...because I guess he's sick of screwing up just the past! "Barry decides that the only way he can find out what he needs to know is in the future," Kreisberg concluded. Intriguing, eh? As always, share your thoughts in the comments section.
