Default Tonneau covers

I'm looking at Tonneau Covers for my truck. I would like a soft roll-up cover that is easy to take off completely when I need to haul something large.

TruXedo brand
http://www.autoanything.com/tonneau-...A1587A0A0.aspx

TonnoPro
http://www.autoanything.com/tonneau-...icleId=3880897

I'm debating between these two covers. Does anyone have experiene with either one? They appear to have the same features, but one is twice the price.

I'm looking to also do Line-X. Truck Works seems to be the place for this kind of work. They had a rollup tonneau cover for $475 installed. After looking around that seems like a good price for the Truxedo brand. But is the lifetime warranty worth the premium.

Fuck the roll up. I went with lund trifold because it was cheaper and there's nothing to install. Lay it on and snap it down and done. Super easy to put on and off.

Less than 250 shipped from rockauto.

If you are out and want to take it off where do you put it? That is why I want a rollup cover.

Folds up to give you room when you're out, or just throw it in the cab.

Totally with Scooby. Don't buy a roll up. They are basically a permanent installation. The rails get in the way if you want to haul anything big. I have a Bestop tri fold, on and off in 30 sec.

We got a Line-X liner and a TruXedo Lo Pro QT installed at Truck Works North last month.

The Line-X job was pretty good, though the masking job wasn't perfect. I'd give it a 9 / 10.

The Lo Pro QT was not installed properly, and I had to re-do it myself.

If I were you, I would install the tonneau yourself and save the installation fee. Also, check Chux Trucks for competitive pricing. The TruXedo was ~$30 cheaper, and Truck Works matched their price.

I bought a TruXedo TruXport roll up cover for my Tacoma. Pretty easy installation, rolls up nicely. I haven't had any trouble with the rails getting in the way when loading up the bed but then again the Tacoma already has a rail system in place. I could see it being an issue with a truck that doesn't have a rail setup already since it'll remove some of the real estate from the actual bed putting the rails in.

Which model/style did you get Scooby? Hard to install? I'm looking at the Textured Black Vinyl; Genesis Tri-Fold that goes for $205. Add on $47.99 shipping, it's a $250 purchase, and then 10-12 weeks later I'd see a $50 visa card.

I went with the premium twill weave. Install is...well...non existent really. You lay it on, clip down the front, unfold it, clip down the rear. That's it.

The textured vinyl I wasn't a fan of personally...the twill weave looks much higher quality though I'm unsure of long term water resistance.

Also don't forget about the 5% off promo for rockauto. Put code in the "how did you hear about us?" box in your cart.

LUND doesn't make a cover for my truck.

Tonno Pro is a LUND Company BTW. I bought mine today at 4WheelParts Store on Metcalf this afternoon. They had a decent deal, no tax and no shipping. Can't wait to throw it on.

Do you get any MPG gain? Some guys are saying yes, a few are saying no.

I call BS on that. Also it's not broken in yet. Once that happens the MPG will go up. I wasn't able to use cruise either.

From what I have seen most guys with 10k miles or more get 27-30 MPG.

I don't have cruise either. 26mpg last time I watched it at 82-85mph from Manhattan to KC.
