Default Lamborghini crossover concept images leaked?

Lamborghini crossover concept leaked images, 1024, 30.01.2012

Could debut in China

Rumors of a Lamborghini LM002 successor have been circulating for years, but a new report accompanied by alleged leaked images from Quattroruote magazine is indicating a crossover concept will be unveiled at the Beijing Motor Show in April.
Little is known about the model, but it could be based on the Porsche Cayenne and feature styling that mimics the Aventador.
Engine options remain unconfirmed, but Quattroruote is reporting the crossover will be launched with a V10 that produces approximately 575 PS (423 kW / 567 hp). There's also word of a hybrid variant which could debut in 2015 with 700 PS (515 kW / 690 hp).

There must be a market for people who want a more expensive, less reliable quasi-audi version of a BMW X6M

Exactly. Unless the are ripping off a powertrain that someone else has, I cannot believe that this would work out well over the long haul.

To be fair though, it looks better than the Porsche.

Lambo was in the business of making SUVs decades ago.

Not gonna lie, I wouldn't mind throwing a few car seats in the back of that thing and having the ultimate grocery getter. That thing is sick!

Lambo can do no wrong.

>Report Lamborghini SUV to be named Urus

The Lamborghini SUV that we'll shortly be ogling over when it's introduced at the Beijing Auto Show has a name: the Lamborghini Urus. That's the word according to Chinese media, at least, which would leave the rumored Deimos name for some other Lambo creation.

We'll save you the trip to Wikipedia: a "urus" is an extinct European ox, Bos primigenius, a forebearer of domestic cattle whose last example roamed the Polish forests until 1627. A shaggy-haired, plodding bovine is a bit down on excitement compared to its taurean siblings, so we'll also keep Urus Khan descendent of Gehghis and ruler of at least one horde in the naming inspiration pool. In keeping with Lamborghini tradition, there's presumably a fighting bull that's carried the name at some point, as well.

The Urus is expected to have a reworked ten-cylinder powerplant from the Gallardo, a rumored 584-horsepower and $200,000 price tag. It's slated for a 2015 release, and following that could be a hybrid that pushes past the 600-hp mark. Stay tuned for official images and information as the Urus rolls out in Beijing.

Do you even think before you type shit? I must've missed the part where the only thing that differentiates a Lambo and an Acura are the exterior sketches, as judged by a moron living in Nebraska.

The new Cayenne is one of the best looking SUV's out right now IMO.

The old ones were certainly mediocre looking though, I'll give you that. I actually like the old Touareg a lot better than the old Cayenne that was being made at the same time.

you're right, springfield is much more of a cultural mecca than podunk nebraska.

sorry if i think its an overpriced piece of shit. i'd rather by two ML63s or two Cayenne Turbos than one of those things. shit i'd take a G55 over that turd. obviously if it's an suv it's a car you're going to drive a lot more than a couple thousand miles a year like a typical lambo coupe, yet i'm sure repair costs will still be astronomical and take a long time due to the necessity of shipping to a lambo tech.

I will say the drawings are pretty spot on

Lamborghini Urus: First Photo Of New SUV

We already know that Lamborghini is making an SUV, we think it'll be called the Urus, and now Evo Magazine has what looks like the first picture and spec details of the Raging Bull's new cash cow.
After the first picture earlier from CarsUK, who got their early details from an early copy of EVO, the whole mother load has been dropped by autoforum.cz. Their claims are unsurprising and quite believable.
The Urus will be based off of the same platform as the next Cayenne, Q7, and Bentley SUV, only the Lambo will be the lightest of them all by at least 100kg. The weight savings will supposedly come from the use of Lamborghini's carbon composites that we first saw on the Sesto Elemento.
In terms of size, the Urus will be about half a foot longer and a few inches wider than the current Cayenne. This picture makes it look as tall as a lifted Silverado, but it will reportedly be much lower than Porsche's SUV.

View the gallery

The anticipated engine for the Urus is the new Bentley V8 seen in the Continental GT, but tuned to something around 600 horsepower. Most importantly for Lamborghini, the company plans to sell 3,500 of these tall-boy X6-lookalikes a year, or double the sales numbers of the Gallardo and the Aventador. We'll see if this information stacks up when Lamborghini officially reveals the Urus at the Beijing Motor Show.
